I honestly don’t know how this place is only rated a 3.9!! I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Me and my Mom were shopping next door and decided to drop in for lunch and SO GLAD we did. Kelly greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and did not cease to continue to be welcoming throughout our entire visit. The service was as excellent as the food. A wide variety and DELICIOUS. I had the blackened fish tacos with red beans and rice and hush puppies. TRY IT!! This place is definitely worth the stop!!

This place is AWESOME! My husband and I just moved here and we were looking for a good place to eat fried catfish! Well look no farther than Fish Tales! I will only comment on what we’ve had so far. The fried catfish is to die for, and the fried, and stuffed shrimp are delicious!! The fried oysters are the best! It might take a little while to get your food, but it’s because they cook it up fresh when you order it. The people that work there are so friendly, and very attentive. If your look for some great fried fish and shrimp, then you have to go to Fish Tales in Jasper, TX! ❤️

Fried oyster poboy was small and only had 3 small oysters. Plenty of seasoned fries though. Chicken and sausage gumbo was pretty good. Sweet tea was fine, but over $50 including tip is way too much for a fast food fish place but realized we never got the fried green tomatoes we ordered, which explains how come the bill was so high. Won’t return even though service was very good.

These pistolettes are laughable. They put about half a tablespoon of I guess crawfish ettoufee gravy on it. I’m not kidding when I say with you could not have made two small shrimp using all four of these pistolettes. They cut a fried piece of bread and basically put 1/2 tablespoon of gravy on it. If you’ve never had real pistolettes please don’t think these are what they are. This is basically a scam. Look at my pictures hahah it’s like some onions and gravy barely soaked into some fried bread. I thought I’d give this place another try but that was the last nail in the coffin

I placed a Door Dash order and there was no option to add extra ranch dressing. I called the restaurant and the girl who answered was awesome and they took care of me. They went above and beyond. The food was amazing!!

So happy to have this restaurant in Jasper! We have eaten there twice since they opened, and everything has been delicious! We went knowing we would have to wait since it was their opening week, and we got to enjoy live entertainment and visit with the sweet owners.

They didn’t listen I got the large shrimp plater and ask for no hush puppies with extra fries in place of the hush puppies and they brought me extra hush puppies that I did not want plus fries really good, took 2hrs to get the food and never checked on our table to see if we needed drink refills. Asked for cheese sticks as a appetizer and didn’t receive them until our dinner plates were ready. Also was charged for extra alligator bites as a appetizer when we didn’t ask for them. Overall the food was okay and not worth the hassle
