This place has a beautiful view of the Mississippi!! The waitress was very courteous and kept checking on how we were doing! Love great service. We had 2 appetizers and the Fried Goat Cheese was crazy good….very creamy and smooth! I had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had Blue Gill and was very happy with his meal!! We will be going back soon!!

Wonderful place to eat, get there early to get a window seat looking over the Mississippi River. The Prime Rib was great, nice smoke flavor. The beef brisket was tender, juicy and full of smoke flavor. Great service and wonderful mixed drinks.

Benson’s never disappoints. The food is unique and amazing and the views of the river are icing in the cake. We tried the specials tonight so Pan Fried Walleye and the Tomohawk Steak! Started with the Fried Goat Cheese. Worth the drive from the Quad Cities so check out this gem along the Mississippi.

I’ve been debating on if I should post this or not but decided to say something. We went to Bensons for my parents 25th wedding anniversary. Have been wanting to try this place for years and after going will definitely not be going back. We had reservations for 7pm. Got there 10 minutes before 7 and were seated probably 10 minutes after 7. Which was no problem at all. While waiting to be seated other people came in behind us saying they didn’t have reservations. After being seated – we had a table of 5 and they gave us 1 menu. We waited for 25 minutes before someone came over and took our drink order. Waited another 10-15 minutes to receive our drinks. While waiting for our drinks, we were watching other tables who didn’t have reservations and came after us order food and receive their appetizers. We ordered two appetizers along with our meals. Our food came out around 8:15. Never received our appetizers and by the time we had our food other people who came in after us were already done eating and leaving. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the servers were nice and the food had good flavor. Even though the food had good flavor, 3 of us ordered brisket and all of our briskets were cold and most of the pieces were all fat so not edible anyways. It was busy, I understand that, but its not a very big place and they had 4 servers – 4 servers is more than enough for the size of the restaurant. Disorganization seems to play a huge part in why our experience was the way it was. Would work a lot better if someone was a set bartender instead of having 4 different people wait on us. I have been in the food service industry for 10 years and I always have patience for things that happen. Here is a picture of how much fat was on my brisket This was so disappointing. Definitely not a $200 meal.

A local gem! Great views of the Mississippi, delicious food served hot by a friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service staff. The pride of the owners to provide a clean, welcoming restaurant is very apparent! Great seafood offerings and hand crafted, in-house BBQ. Real mashed potatoes, tasty cooked brown fries and incredible deserts, especially, the bread pudding with bourbon sauce, reminiscent of the bread pudding at The Bon Ton in New Orleans. The bar is well appointed and welcoming. “I shall return”. Well done owners & staff at ‘Benson’s’. KUDOS!!!

First time there and we are just SHOOK how AMAZING every bite of everything was!! WOW! The atmosphere was delightful, cozy and classy all at the same time! Staff was super friendly but omg let’s go back to the food… UNREAL. We will be back VERY soon!

Hearing a lot about this place had to give it a try.. And I have to tell you it was well worth it!! We will definitely be back!! I had the rack of ribs which were amazing! We also had the stuffed mushrooms Which were different than I’ve had anywhere else but still good. My wife had the shrimp which I cannot tell you enough was out of this world!! They were huge and delicious. The cheesecake was amazing! I have to tell you everything was made to perfection. Place was clean the bathrooms were clean and the service was super great . The ride there along the Mississippi Was nice lots of great scenery there. And the views from the restaurant of Mississippi were nice too. I really can’t say enough about this place you need to experience it for yourself. This is a must put on your bucket list for some great dining and great views. Total package here! Thank you Benson for the great eating experience, And the great hospitality. you made us feel welcome.

Really freaking good food. Seasonings were on point, portions were plentiful and the food was quick to arrive I have no complaints! Had the shrimp boil and I left stuffed with leftovers and will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. This is probably my new favorite dine in restaurant in the area! Keep up the amazing work!

Benson’s is a GREAT place to have a nice dinner. Bud Benson really knows how to Smoke, Grill, Sear & Steam meat & Vegetables to taste absolutely delicious. His wife Stephanie runs a clean & friendly bar & dining area. My steak there has ALWAYS been cook exactly how I order it.
