We heard this place had a good Friday night fish fry that wasn’t the case for us. I can honestly say this was the worse Friday fish fry I have ever had. It seemed as if the haddock still had the skin on it, and it had a fishy mud line taste also.I’m all for supporting a small town bar business that serves food but I can’t see going back for food at this place since it was that bad in my experience.

Ran across this place by accident while driving the convertible around the Kettle Moraine area admiring the fall colors. Stopped at lunch time and got a cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich and some onion rings. Also a couple cocktails. Service was great and bartender was very friendly and welcoming. It is a typical small town old bar that is a little rough around the edges but the food is great and the company is equally enjoyable. Had some fun conversations with other customers and a generally enjoyable stop!

Excellent Friday fish fry! Juicy, flaky haddock with your choice of potato, including great potato pancakes. I usually prefer creamy coleslaw, but their’s had the right amount is sweetness even though it wasn’t a creamy sauce. The deep fried green beans and cheese curds were delicious apps, especially with beer. Friendly service, great prices!

Fish fry was great, had the Haddock with potato pancakes. I also tried a piece of perch and a piece of bluegill, all were perfectly cooked and very good. Service could have been better, waited so long for drink refills, needed to get the waitress.
