Hudson’s is an adorable hidden gem in Southbury! Many of the locals are familiar with it for their breakfast and lunch, which I definitely want to come back and try, but it’s a sin not to come experience their dinner menu. The chef is fantastic, and their seafood is some of the freshest you can have because they own Southbury Seafood next door! I thought it was great how many gluten-free items they had on the menu – I think they had more than I’ve seen at any other restaurant. The rigatoni must’ve been made with gluten free pasta, because it was specified as gluten free on the menu, but I couldn’t even tell the difference! Every dish, dessert, and drink was phenomenal. I would go back for the hot spiced butter cider alone because it was SO good. I hope to come back soon!

OUTSTANDING! The food is incredible. Gluten free bun is outstanding. I’m so impressed with the coffee – Italian style espresso, not sharp or bitter, just full of rich flavor like you are at a cafe in Italy. The decor is modern and clean. I couldn’t be happier to have found this place. Don’t hesitate, go.

This has been one of my most pleasant experiences at a coffee shop. The interior is beautifully decorated and there is plenty of seating available, both inside & outside, for larger crowds. The baristas were very sweet and helpful, providing excellent customer service. It seems like they do seasonal menus in addition to their standard menu, very neat. My girlfriend and I’s lattes tasted amazing and rich in flavor. They even offer a food, alcohol, & sushi menu all in one place; how cool is that? I highly recommend checking out this spot. I will definitely be returning!

I was impressed with their breakfast and desserts. They have a ton of choices including many gluten free plates. The staff is super friendly and the food was delicious. I cannot wait to go back. Update: went back this week for dinner yesterday, breakfast and dinner today and will be. Ack tomorrow for breakfast before heading back to NYC

Outstanding food, easily the best tacos in the area and it’s not even close. In addition, the falafel bowl is outstanding and I’m eager to try the new Hummus and Falafel restaurant next door from the same owner. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Hudson’s and it is now our go to place to eat out. Really good, fresh food made with love. The only hiccup is their wait service as it can be a bit confusing as to whether you should order at the counter or not. The wait service should be removed entirely and a pickup system should be put in place. All in all though, the food is great!

Hudson’s Cafe promoting a big Mexican food night and it was packed with people. They weren’t prepared with enough help. There was only 2 waitresses and what looked like only one chef. People had long waits just to get a menu and their food.

Had breakfast here yesterday with my 18 month old toddler. He had the avocado toast and I had the breakfast tacos. Both were incredibly delicious. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Places to sit inside and out. Exceeded my expectations!
