I visited this place while traveling from D.C. If you are not accustomed to delicious Jamaican food, you might think it’s good, but to be honest, it’s just average. The rice and jerk chicken were mediocre. The jerk pork was decent, and the fried chicken was okay, but there is room for improvement for both dishes. The service and everything else were good, but the food didn’t meet my expectations. Despite the restaurant’s success, it seems they aren’t putting their best effort into cooking the highest quality dishes.

I came to this restaurant after traveling all day and expect us to get good food and the chicken was bland. It was supposed to be jerk chicken and it was bland. I decided to go back to the restaurant and see if maybe she could give me a different item of food or at least my money back, and she expected me to pay for the food AGAIN.

First time to try Sunshine Cuisine and Jamaican food for that matter. Just had enough room for a snack and was recommended a patty with coco bread. Total came about $4 and was worth every penny. The patty was hot, flaky and rich with flavor. The bread (which came out of a bag) was soft and sweet. Good amount of food Def curious for a return trip to try more dishes (see pic pic of current menu)

Really loved the rice and peas. The curry goat was good. Plantain was just one piece and it was dry and not sweet. Service was super slow. Overall good meal but pricey compared to another Jamaican restaurant in Stamford I go to.
