This is a wonderful surprise to have a BLACK owned Soul Food in the McDonough/Locust Grove area. The food is down home style good and tasty I could add some of my home chef suggestions but I’ll pass. The place is clean and nicely decorated. The biggest compliment I can give is the staff. No lip smacking attitudes. Hallelujah and thank you Jesus. The staff had some pep in their step, very polite and accommodating. This is a place that is worth the money.

This is my 4th or 5th time eating here and it’s consistently amazing food that’s cooked with love. The owners (husband and wife) are absolutely friendly. They have a welcoming and graceful spirit. Just left there and got a plate for myself, my husband, and my two little ones. Normally they are picky but they asked for more chicken (tender, falling off the bone) with their Mac and cheese. With every bite, I’m finding myself closing my eyes and shaking my head with gratitude. This food is home away from home. Will definitely be back!

The food was amazing. The customer service was incredible. And I loved the atmosphere. I got smothered pork chops which came over white rice, Mac and chesse, and fried okra. It was really good seasoned just right.

I ordered two plates smothered pork chops and ribs they only give you one pork chop that had more bone then meat the ribs was definitely tough however they did have a nice flavor the Mac and cheese, collard greens were way too salty not to mention they only give you a dab the peach cobbler was $5 it was ok could have been better very nice establishment I will give them another shot

The rib tips were juicy and delicious you MUST try the Mac and cheese, one of the best I’ve had from a restaurant. The pork chop was decent could have been more flavor. The dressing was bussing hopefully they can add cranberry sauce soon. The drinks are add on so everything came up to about $20 per plate but for soups food it is expected. Great playing amount ☺️

The turnip greens were not seasoned, even with the meat (?). The dressing was not fully cooked, it was runny, made with sweet cornbread. ( horrible) The ribs were decent. The service was absolutely too slow, as if they were still cooking most of the food. Long wait and a lot of money for nothing. I’m happy they are trying, but please do better.

Oh my goodness! Where to start, food is delicious. I went on a lunch break and I didn’t think i was going to be able to return to work. I was so full from eating all my food I just couldn’t stop it seems as if the food just kept on calling me to take more bites and I went for it. The atmosphere is also amazing nice music and great food what more can you ask for. Before I forget customer service very respectful and everyone there is soo nice. I had to give it 5 stars.
