Went to La Puente with a friend. Neither of us had been. We sat down & ordered pretty quickly. The menu is decent sized. Everything has priced well. Chips & salsa were good. I thought the salsa was a little spicy, good flavor. I had the bean tostadas, which I didn’t understand it came with two of them. They were decent & portion size was pretty big. The rice was really good! My friend ordered the enchiladas. I tried the red enchilada sauce, I wasn’t a big fan of the enchilada sauce they had. Not a super fancy place, everything seemed clean. Staff was friendly.

Not a better tasting food in the state. Your $200 steak dinners don’t come close to the quality of yeast you get here. Family ran and the staff are incredible!

We had a really bad experience there tonight. The food did not taste great, but the service was far worse. We found a piece of raw chicken in my wife’s enchilada. We asked the waitress to look at it and claimed it was boiled chicken. When I asked why it looked differently than the other chicken in the enchilada, she claimed it was impossible. She offered no option to switch meal, give partial discount etc. I gave her my card and she charged it, but never gave me a receipt until I asked for one and then claimed I didn’t need to sign.. bad service

First time going should check the reviews. They said 10 mins wait took longer than more like 30 mins wait not a lot of customers inside. We spend $15.15 got 2 beef tacos rice and beans and fries. The beef tacos look like tacos bell tacos. The rice was good but the beans were over salted. The fries were raw. We just got a hello when we walked in that is it. Would not recommend my boyfriend started to have stomach pain if you want to save your stomach don’t come here

I crave this salsa and can’t find it or any worthy recipe ANYWHERE!! Every time I visit my parents from NYC this place is our first stop for a few pints!!! The rest of the food is authentic Americanized Mexican and always super fresh and flavorful, we love this place, you will too!!!

It has been a long time since I went to eat at a La Puente location and since it’s close to work, I decided to try it. Ordered the Grande Nachos and when served, I was kind of surprised that all I could see was the melted cheese and dap of guacamole with a side of sour cream. Was going to say something when I noticed a little of the toppings and when I “dig in” the toppings(diced tomatoes, onions, olives and jalapeños) were actually on the bottom not sure if this the way this restaurant prepares the Nachos, in comparison to how they’re typically prepared and served, which generally the toppings are on the top of the melted cheese . I didn’t take a picture as I only had a 30 minute lunch time and got to be back at work.

Had a beef enchilada. I had a beef enchilada that ended up being ground beef, rather than shredded beef. The size compared to other restaurants is pretty small. Also, when asked if they could make it a pork chili Verde and they claimed the sauce would leak out the burrito. I’ve had pork chili Verde chimichanga many times from other restaurants.

Very nice people, so this review has nothing to do with service. The food was just bad. Enchiladas are plastic tasting and gross. Also the pictures listed on google are not accurate it’s a run down strip mall place. Also the margaritas are terrible. Literally zero tequila just the mix and ice. Sorry for the harsh words but this is the only way to correct such a bad place.
