It’s been ages since I last had Church’s chicken [back in Texas]. Somehow it tasted even better than I remember – like someone was paying attention to the fry quality, because the chicken was perfectly cooked, with a crispy non-oily crust. The cajun rice they sold here is an absolute game changer! I was only in town a few days and had to come back for a second bigger serving – it was no fluke! Rice to make a southern rice fan happy!

Ordered a chicken sandwich and a frosted biscuit. Both tasted pretty good. The chicken of the chicken sandwich was smaller than the Church’s in Texas. There were just 2 people working, the manager and a cook. The manager gave off a weird vibe especially when my wife went to get a refill from the manager. I don’t know why but apparently he sized up my wife and then provided a refill all while not saying a word to her. We couldn’t figure out why. It was just a weird experience. We ate inside. We would go back, but maybe in 3 months since this Church’s reopened sometime back. Right now my impression is that either staffing is difficult due to low wages or scheduling is understaffing the restaurant. We visited shortly after 1pm as I recall.

I was kind of doubting this place because I dont ever see many people stopping but or eating inside, BUT it was such an amazing crispy chicken! I definitely will be coming back. The chicken was perfectly balanced between tender and crispy. Highly recommended if you want some good quality food at an impossible to beat price. Great job, guys!

This place was terrible the order was wrong because the girl in drive thru didn’t understand English. The chicken was not good at all the corn was so old it was like chewing on wax. Waste of $40-50 for real. I’ll never eat there again.

Seems like my first time getting fresh food and not refried from days ago like KFC. Also ALL my food was in the bag this time seemingly,everytime me and my family eat out they never give us all our food and sometimes missing whole meals . So I was very satisfied with here they were nice and good fresh hot chicken n okra and peppers some other food places should take notes

The chicken is great but I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to take my order along with an additional 10 minutes for someone to give the order. I wasn’t told a wait time on the order and the shelf behind the cash registers was full of chicken. I am not sure when the cashier took my order. He could have turned around and grabbed the chicken off the shelf that he did 10 minutes later.

Spicy chicken sandwich is great and keeps us coming back, but double check your order before leaving the drive through at the Des Moines location. Last 3 orders have been incorrect and this time they left half of the food out. Kind folks but disappointed to not get what we paid for.
