It all began in 1992 when Frederico Viliermo opened the first Mexican food restaurant in Newark, DE. Nowadays it’s a restaurant chain that offers authentic food, friendly atmosphere and good service. We hope that our restaurant will be a place where guests of all ages could come together to experience the unique flavors, along with the art and culture of Mexico – all in a casual setting.

Authentic Latin cuisine! It’s not just Mexican fare – lots of South American dishes and everything we had was delicious. The prices are excellent as well and the staff is great. Highly recommend the pupusas!

Terrible customer service. I’m disappointed after I went to this place this morning. I’ve been going here with my family and friend for years. Today they had attitudes. I always get a burrito without rice and add eggs. They’ve been doing it for years. Today was a fuss. They can’t make it with eggs now. I tell them ok, but I don’t want it with rice, so just do it with beans. They (the cook & cashier) refuse to make it and try to force me to order it with rice. They claim that the burrito doesn’t close without rice. You mean to tell me it closed just fine for 5 years, but now it doesn’t close? Don’t know what part of I don’t like rice they didn’t understand. You can’t force customers to eat things they don’t like. Mind you, the menu does NOT mention rice as one of the ingredients. See area circled in the pic for reference. Then she had the nerve to tell me to order a quesadilla. You lost several customers. We’re never coming back. And the chicken soup is disgusting. They can’t make a soup to save their lives. I only ate the pupusas and burritos. You’re better off going to El Rinconcito Salvadoreño.

Tasty tacos al pastor! Some places shred the meat but here they grill it, resulting in more flavor! The onions and cilantro are very finely diced and melt into the meat. We also enjoyed the beef fajita platter. Generous amount of meat and good flavor. The pupusas were a good size cooked fresh and had the right amount of char. Pickled cabbage tasted great. The horchata was refreshing. Will return soon to try the desserts!

Total BULL!! Prices on the menu are not what they charge you. Example, 2 quesadillas are $11.50 on the menu but they charge you $13.50 and then when you question it they say the menus are just so you can see the food. Then say there’s no one there that speaks English. WTH?!

I love the tacos here, my favorite is the steak “asada” tacos. Although a bit expensive for tacos they are not doubled tortilla. I’ve also had the posole which wasn’t my favorite hence the 4 stars. Pupusas were also very good. Haven’t had a chance to eat in person so I can’t comment on service but over the phone they are nice.

Quaint place. The food was good and it didn’t take long for the bartender to bring the food. They give you HUGE portions. I let the bartender pick my food-thid was the chicken fajitas.
