I confirmed they had all the items I wanted, placed a phone order and paid over the phone. I arrived at least 40 minutes later and my order still was not ready. I left and came and still they were short 2 doubles and tried to substitute it with less interesting items of which I declined. I got home and the buss up shot was not bussing. In other words, it was like thin roti bake. The pumpkin was good but the aloo was hunks of potato with very little channa. I returned yesterday to surpise my sister with doubles knowing I would avoid the buss up shut. I ordered 8 doubles at $3.75 USD per doubles. Yesss…you heard correctly. Please take a look at what I paid $3.75 for. Every last one looked like this. You can count the channa. How this place is rated a 4 star is beyond me. I will resume making my own buss up shut and doubles packed with channa and topped with proper tambran sauce, cucumber chutney and other condiments. Some businesses should just close up shop and this is one. The portions have gotten VERY small compared to other Caribbean establishments and the prices have increased tremendously. No wonder they don’t post prices anywhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid West Indian Flavour.

I purchased a large stew chicken and large curry shrimp platter and the serving sizes were everything but large. The largest portion in the platter was the rice, the cabbage was almost raw, and if shrimp had kids that’s what I had. The curry sauce itself was flavorful though. However, the platters didn’t have enough meat and I had to go back out to get more food because it just wasn’t enough for my boyfriend and I to eat. Hopefully, this was a one off experience.

My first and very LAST time coming back to this establishment. The lady working the front was extremely rude, she gave me a completely different order than what I asked for and when I corrected her she dismissed me and tried to take the food that I didn’t ask for off as opposed to remaking my order. She didn’t tell me what it was she was removing from my plate so when I asked she rudely said “pumpkin” which I’m allergic too so I kindly asked her to remake it and she gave me so much attitude, and she barely gave me any cabbage… I guess she was upset but It’s really sad when you try to support people and they act like this, lol I’ll just stick to blue Caribbean and judys… West Indian flavour is NOT IT

I come here all the time and this was by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD I called and placed an order over the phone and I get to the restaurant and they sold my order. What type of establishment does that unprofessional stuff then as I explained to them that we were coming from far management laughed and continued to fuss at me as if I did something wrong. This place will never get my money. If you want good food with good customer service don’t come here. Oh and none of them were wearing mask behind the counter.

Ive been to this place twice. This is my third time. Ive ordered online for delivery more times than I can remember. The service is slow and inconsistent. I just waited in line for 30 mins! To make my order. Only two people in front of me and one sitting and eating. The place was empty. The server was slow and uncaring. No smile, no how are you. Like she doesnt want to take my order. I was standing right in front of the window and she let someone else in front of me to pay for his food before she helped me. After I stood for 25 minutes?!?. No.. The window is clear so you can she her prepare the food. She is in no rush! She slides her feet when she walks to add to the torture. She prepares the first order before even taking the next order. When I add this to the fact that I have ordered more than once and waited only to have my order canceled bc they werent open that day (and they were supposed to be!) They get one star. Good food. Cant dispute that. The best that I know of in the city or county. HOWEVER. They cant have ANYMORE of my money. Im done.

So good! The food is just so good! My family is Trini. The food taste as if I’m in the kitchen with the matriarchs of my family. The stew chicken, doubles, pumpkin, buss up shut, curry goat, callaloo, macaroni pie and mauby are all very good. And if you stop by on a Sunday afternoon, there is sure to be some ole’ talk happenin’ in de gy’allery. IYKYK. ha! Food runs out, so get there early. Great small business!

Good sized Oxtail, tender, some even fell off of the bone BUT thin gravy, no seasoning and over priced!!!! Also, not the most welcoming staff when spending $19.00 for a 6 piece portion. Had to put additional seasonings on it to give it flavor.

Food was tasty. I got a oxtail meal and goat roti. My friend had a goat meal but said it was a bit cold. The place is small and cozy with not much seating. Our food took a few minutes to come out but we didn’t mind. I would visit again.

First time at the resturant and bingo, the chicken roti is excellent. Looking forward to another visit. While, I was leaving a woman of another ethnicity proudly mentioned, “How the menu items are good”. No doubt she was correct, and without traveling far out of the area the taste is right here to indulge yourself with an excellent taste of Trinidad.
