Long Lake Diner seems like it would be a good restaurant to go to, so I wonder if they just had an off night. We had a party of seven, and no one was thrilled with their food selection. However, no one was disgusted with their selection. What made the place bad was many things. We all ordered waters, and they never brought us our water, and after receiving the appetizers, they brought the waters. When the meals came out, they served us the meals, and then at the end of the meal, we had to ask for our salads and soups. They brought out the salads, and one was served in a bowl that was cracked completely in half, and the salad dressing dripped onto the leg of that person. the hamburger was severed with nothing on it, just a bun and meat. we had to ask for toppings. the chicken fingers were served with no dipping sauce. people had ordered fries, yet they brought no catsup. when they brought water, they gave us a pitcher of water and seven cups. there was not enough water to fill the cups, so people started deciding who did not need water. the wait staff never returned to off more water. This place has a nice patio, large selection, and friendly wait staff, but I will not be returning. $200+ after tax and everything, very disappointed.

We have been here several times over the past few years and was always good. I’m wondering if there is a new cook as I don’t believe the food was as good this time. This morning my wife had pancakes and thought they were a little doughy still. She originally was going to have a skillet and wanted to exchange sausage for bacon and was told they wouldn’t do that. My omelette was just ok. For dinner last night I had chicken and biscuits which was ok but bland. My wife had a Philly cheese steak which was good but the onion rings were overdone. Asked for straws for our water which we never got. We also had an appetizer which was brought out just a minute or two before our meals. It also seemed like it must have been sitting for a bit because it wasn’t hot, only lukewarm. Waited several minutes to get our check and then several more minutes to have the check picked up for payment. I didn’t think they were overly busy so not sure what the issue was. Will go again but hoping it gets better again.

After three days in the back woods all I wanted in life (other than a flush toilet) was PANCAKES! The food was excellent, the service was great and the location has an amazing view. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!

We stopped by a second year during annual office trip. They offer gluten free buns and pizza options which makes it a great find in the area. Food was good and service was friendly and quick.

We came into Long Lake from Old Forge where we are camping. Arrived and was told to have a seat at a rectangular table. Then that was it. We sat for 15 minutes and not one waitress spoke to us or even gave us menus.

My wife and I came here for dinner a couple weeks ago. The bartender and server Dave was kind and got the job done well.

This may be the only open restaurant in the area which might explain the full dining area. French fries were chewy, not crisp and no special seasoning, very disappointed as they were advertised as handcut, making you think they are special. Corned beef sandwich had great flavor and was moist, but while eating some parts of the sandwich was warm, others cool. Philly sandwich was good but could not get a flavor from bell peppers.

We were late in to town in the middle of winter and this appeared to be the only place open. Parking is mostly across the street. The food was very good and the atmosphere was lively! Service was not the best… Maybe because we were out of Towner’s? That’s our only complaint. I had chicken Parm and it was nice and crispy, the red sauce was quite good. My GF had pulled pork Mac and cheese and it was great!

Can’t speak highly enough of this place. Great food and great atmosphere in a small town. The fried haddock sandwich is excellent, as is the service. Plus, can’t beat UC on tap.

Beautiful local diner with fantastic food. Stopped by hear after a weekend of camping in -20° weather so a warm meal was most welcomed.
