I did carry away and it was delicious. Got the lamb shank. It was lovely. The gravy was tasty. The rice was filled with maybe lentils and spinach. It was just delicious. Also got the beef sandwich really good !!! Definitely recommend. Well, I waited for the food to be prepared the owner or manager offered me hot tea. What a lovely gesture.

The food was great and we really enjoyed dizi and kale pacheh. Also, the service and Mrs. Shahnaz did a great job for the service. The atmosphere is not the best you can find though.

Unfortunately the server did not treat my guests good, I believe she was the owner or something since I don’t get the attitude. There was no AC in the store, just ceiling fan was working and it was hot! Did not enjoy the food although it wasn’t that bad, but I do not recommend this place as there are many other better Persian food in south OC!

Took longer than allotted to prepare the food for take out. Waited and waited. Plenty apology extended but at the end the meat was not cooked. Left it with owner and walked away. Find a Persian restaurant that understands and excutes the business as it should. There is none. All mediocre food and nonchalant attitude.

The owner welcomes you by bringing you hot cup of tea. The food was great and the bread was freshly made. Comparable to other local Persian cuisines, price was high. 17$ for koobideh vs 12$-14$. The 8.99$ wrap koobideh is 13$ here We had good experience otherwise.

Great food and service. One of the best Persian restaurants. Food is fantastic. The bread is hot right out of the oven. Unlimited hot tea. Definitely worth a visit.

I ordered take out because I wasn’t sure if this place was the same outfit as the previous Persian/Mediterranean grill as before . Hafez Cafe is a much more spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, unlike the older spot I remember.
