The food here was quite good, and the service was highly professional. Steak was cooked perfectly. Sauce was a bit homely in appearance but tasted really nice.

Had dinner with friends on several occasions now and every time it’s as good as anything I have had in reno steak houses that cost double what ormachias charge. And the staff is the best I have ever experienced Love this place

If you’re lucky enough to stumble across this little gem you will be pleasantly surprised!!! The prices were on the high end but definitely match the quality of the food, the environment and the service. Every part of our experience here was amazing. The food was served in a timely manner and our server (Anthony) was the best server we have ever experienced. With our entrees we were served a salad in a way I’ve never thought I would see. It was served with an amazing bowl of beans. At first a hesitation but then a pure delight!! The prime rib was so tender and flavored to perfection. My little family of 5 with 3 boys under 10 were treated so kind. I would go back again an again if the pocket book could afford it. I wouldn’t change it though. I think the overall quality of this place is worth every penny spent.

Quiet, elegant atmosphere, true Basque cuisine. Knowledgable, attentive service. I had all first-time dishes, including salad with beans, and complex ravioli tongue. The total equisite experience justifies the prices.

We read about Ormachea’s Basque on-line. Practically drooling over their prime rib. So when we are staying over at Minnemucca, we went there and tried it out. Unfortunately we arrived on a Tuesday and they only serve prime ribs over the weekends. So I ordered the ribeye, and my wife ordered the stuffed chicken breast with fettucine. Both items were outstanding. The ribeye was super tender, well marinated, and grilled to perfection. It was smothered with sauteed onion, mushroom and roasted garlic bites. The roasted garlic absolutely took the dish over the top. I struggled mightily and finished the superb steak. Two thumbs up. The stuffed chicken breast was very moist, well seasoned, and really tender. Usually chicken dishes are quite boring. They have very unique spices that makes this dish exciting. Not an easy feat. Overall, 5 stars are well earned. Really happy we stopped over for dinner.

Tongue Ravioli was unexpected and it had a very complicated combination of texture and flavors. It was worth the price and experience!

Honestly if you’re passing through Winnemucca and you want a little slice of civilization, eat here. Amazing food for a fraction of San Francisco or LA prices. Friendly. You’ll tolerate the FM radio country / western as a nod to the local culture.
