The Dan is barely recognizable from the old Sapphire Room that it replaced at The Floridan. While I’ll miss the old look for nostalgic reasons, I have to admit The Dan is a refreshing, modern, and upscale change that should revitalize the hotel and this area of downtown in general. We only had drinks here but I’d like to try some plates off of the menu next time. Service was friendly and attentive and it was great to see the restaurant busy on a Saturday night, which was rare in the past. I hope The Dan is successful and has a long future here.

We had an awesome night at the Dan! We loved the live music, the decor and ambiance was amazing. Service was great. We absolutely loved the hand crafted cocktails! Loved the champagne cocktail and espresso martini! The crispy green tomatoes were so good!!! I enjoyed the steak frites with the tenderloin made medium rare. My husband loved the creole chicken dish! We really cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend

Absolutely loved the ambiance. 20s vibe. Sleek. Details in the interior are a nice touch. If you get a window table, there are usb ports to charge your phone (you barely see them which is a good thing). Music matches the atmosphere. We were told there are live music acts coming *mind you was there for lunch*

Excellent and very pleasant experience from the beginning with the host Juan, followed by the waiter JJ with a quality and very friendly service, delicious food with a beautiful presentation and good flavor. The salted caramel ice cream 100% recommended. The decoration of the restaurant is just beautiful. I didn’t get a chance to try cocktails but I would definitely go back and order one. I went on a Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend and everything was calm and nice. I love places like this to go on a date or with the family.

I recently visited The Dan and the space is absolutely stunning. The restaurant is on the first floor of the historic Floridan Hotel in downtown Tampa. The recently renovated space is sophisticated, modern and romantic. The service was excellent and the staff worked as a coordinated team during my visit. As a starter, I had the Calamari which was served deep fried and delicious. My entrée was the crispy red Snapper. The fish was perfectly seared, had great flavor and was an excellent dish that I highly recommend. For dessert I had the chocolate bread pudding and honestly it was the best bread pudding I have ever had. The bread pudding was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and was drizzled perfectly with chocolate syrup. I also had the champagne cocktail which came with cotton candy and was a beautiful and potent drink. Overall, I highly recommend The Dan. This new restaurant is definitely worth the hype and I look forward to visiting again.

The Dan was Absolutely Amazing!! If you’re looking for The Hottest new restaurant & best vibe in Downtown Tampa look no further than dining at The Dan! The service was impeccable! The ambiance was super chic, 1920s inspired & just beautiful. Maria, Phillip assure you have the Most incredible customer experience. Justice was a great server & Kate made the Best Crafted cocktails! The champagne cocktail was my favorite! I had the calamari was deep fried with a creole sauce that was delicious. The oysters were fresh and pre shucked conveniently for the foodies. My favorite was the Fried snapper. It was seared to perfection and crispy just right. The steak frites were seasoned just right and the fries were fingerlicking good! The Banana pudding dessert is a must try!! They even bring you the bill with cotton candy. This is The most tastiest gulf coast creole food I have had in Tampa! So Happy it is open and I cant wait to go back for the Live Music, Food, Cocktails & Great Vibes!
