I got a sweet honey pork salad. I liked the overall flavor quite a bit. The dressing was also unique and tasty. The pork itself didn’t have a ton of flavor but it was still good. Not the quantity that you might get at Cafe Rio but still a nice lunch. The workers were friendly and service was fast.

Great food! We got the sweet pork burritos, 1 in enchilada style and 1 regular. It’s not Cafe Rio or Costa Vida, the flavors are a bit different but everything was very fresh and good quality! I will say that the restaurant itself felt almost unfinished – the menu was hard to find and it feels bare. Workers were amazing and super kind though!

I had a great lunch at barbacoa yesterday. The barbacoa beef burrito was fresh and well made. The tortillas don’t live up to cafe Rio, but I did appreciate the option for brown rice and liked their fresh corn salsa!

We liked the honey pork. I tried my burrito half and half with honey pork and barbacoa, both were good but liked the honey pork the most (that’s why I ate my burrito sideways… don’t judge lol). I got medium on my burrito and it was good. I tried a side of the habanero hot and it definitely had some kick. The queso was kind of wack though… grainy and not much flavor. I added the hot salsa and that helped. The rest of the ingredients in our salad and burrito seemed fresh though.

I am very annoyed with this Barbacoa. I have ordered three times and I have never, never asked for pinto beans. I hate pinto beans. And three times I’ve gotten pinto beans. I can’t even begin to tell you how frustrated I am after trying to call these people and let them know they ignored my choice of ingredients. They didn’t answer; then after my third call it’s like they some how they took the phone offline. Pay attention to your customers choices. And if you don’t have black beans, don’t substitute without confirmation because you could be giving people something they are allergic to and unaware they’re eating. Or you could be giving them something that pisses them off because they freaking hate the ingredient.

I had never been and the worker was helpful in providing options with if I liked more spicy food options or more mild. The food was yummy! We actually got a honey pork bowl and then added a little lettuce on the top. It was super filling, I had enough for myself and for my two little boys to have some as well.

The food was flavorful and the 2 guys working there that day were really nice. I had never eaten here before and they gave a lot of really good suggestions. They have a kids meal menu option as well that comes in real handy for my boys. I will be visiting again.

My husband and I LOVE Barbacoa, but the people here did not seem to know how to use the local influence offer, unfortunately. The food was still good, but we had a free entree and they tried to make us pay for little things (like my second taco). Still great food! Our fav location is in South Jordan!

The barbacoa pork bowl I got was super good! While I prefer sweet pork this one was a close second to my favorite. Friendly and fast service too!
