Very friendly service, awesome food. They even gave me an apron to keep my shirt clean. 1 lb blue crab plus 1 lb snow crab seemed to be too much for me. And the lady boss gave me a plate of fried chicken for free!

I met a friend and her daughter for lunch on Father’s Day. Her daughter had never had a seafood boil before because her mom isn’t a fan of seafood. So this was her first time. I have had Seafood boils in several states (Massachusetts, Florida, and Ohio). Our experience was a awesome. You have a good thing going here. Staff is super friendly and even took pics of our group so we could have a memory of our day!! The seafood was fresh and the flavors were amazing. I like spicy and my friends do not. I liked that I was able to have a side cup of spices to add butter from the bag to so I could dip into it. My friends hibachi chicken was delicious as well. We will definitely be back!!!

Went here for dinner with a friend. Had the seafood boil with snow crab, shrimp, and mussels. Also ordered some of the chicken. Everything was flavorful and cooked well. Cajun spices were the predominant flavor. Highly recommend this place for a casual and fun dinner. Will be back soon.

I usually never leave reviews, but this place is really special. It’s the best seafood I’ve ever had in my life. We ordered the family seafood boil with lobster, crab, and shrimp, and IT WAS PHENOMENAL. Everything is really fresh, cooked perfectly, and tastes delicious. Not to mention, their portions are HUGE. I still can’t believe we found this gem in Ann Arbor, and not somewhere on the coast. Thank you!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Honestly such a hole in the wall place and I’m so glad that we decided to stop in after reading the reviews. Delicious food beyond compare! My boyfriend and I have literally not stopped talking about the food and it’s been hours. We actually were contemplating going back at dinner time because it was that good. We live a couple of hours away but we’ve already decided we’re coming back next weekend with our friends. Good food, amazing staff, and all at a great price!

This was our first time visiting JJ Crab House. I wanted to order some halal food as some of the reviews stated there is halal food. Unfortunately, the employee didn’t understand what halal food is, so I was unable to order it, which wasn’t so bad. We ended up ordering sea food. However, when it was time to pay the bill, the employee was visibly upset as we hadn’t provided a tip. As of personal opinion a tip is the customers choice it shouldn’t be mandatory. She said a few things with a angry attitude in another language, which I was unable to understand. Despite saying thank you many different times, I was ignored just because I didn’t provide a tip. I felt disrespected, and would never come back ever again.

I wanted to try a new place and saw an ad on Save magazine. What an amazing surprise! This is the kind of seafood you eat by hand I have been craving for a while. We ordered shrimps and crab legs in garlic butter flavor. Come with corn, potato and sausage. Absolutely delicious! Everyone enjoyed it, even my kids who are not crazy about seafood. Fried baskets are also good for someone who don’t want to get their hands dirty. The food was so good that we didn’t want to leave and definitely will come back. Want to try their fried chicken next time.

We were in the area to see a movie and needed someplace to have lunch beforehand. There are so many chains in the area and none of them sounded appetizing. Just as we were about to give in to some big box joint we drove past the ultimate strip mall and saw the menu for JJ Crab House in their window. The snow crab drew us in immediately.

So good! It’s not really a typical burrito so much as a bowl of very tasty ingredients. You can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into making everyone feel welcome and making sure the food tastes great, and I also appreciate the effort to be environmentally conscious.

Overpriced and flavorless… The hibachi steak was supposed to be made extra spicy and was milder than taco bell. The meal presentation looked like a microwave dinner exactly down to the plastic compartment tray it came in. The “clear” soup that comes with the hibachi dinner is nothing more than yellow water with two mushroom slices and some water logged fried onions. Then to top all of it off I/we were accused of stealing a claw cracker. I went out to the car to look and return to tell them that we did not have it, they proceeded to charge me $4.23 extra. If this place could get negative stars I’d be giving them a -10.
