My go to family restaurant in Fond du lac. I love bringing family there when they come to visit. The only complaint I have is the steak. I ordered it one time and it wasn’t a steak it was ground beef in the shape of a steak swimming in grease and boiled mushrooms. I ended up throwing it back up later. Despite that bad experience I still would say this place is a decent food stop. Especially if you want a cup of coffee and a simple breakfast or lunch. Great soups and my go to is the biscuits and gravy.

Bacon & asparagus skillet was good but did not come with toast. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that did not serve toast with breakfast. White or wheat was an extra $2 & “specialty toast” was $3. I wasn’t paying $15 for breakfast. Waitress was not friendly at all! Looked around and everyone working looked absolutely miserable. We will not return. They truly nickel & dime you for everything!

I simply ask for a scramble egg and white toast and that is exactly what I received great decaffeinated coffee also. Waitress was lovely did exactly the correct amount of attention and peaceful eating experience loved every minute of this breakfast experience

Beautiful coffee shop with a really good menu including many good-sounding items. But the food was just OK. And the “cappuccino” seemed to be made from a powdered mix. That’s not cappuccino – yuck!

Food was delicious but the price was ridiculous, the price for 2 people is what it used to be for 3 people. Crazy how much Rolling Meadows now costs, bummer we won’t be eating there with those crazy prices. Great tasting food, but way too much money.

We were in Fond du Lac for a few days ago from TX and stopped in for lunch. Y’all have a good thing going on. My wife was so impressed with your Belgian waffle, syrup (best tasting) and hash brown w/grilled onions. We talked with the owner afterwards and were taken back with her story. Great restaurant.

I visited this restaurant with my parents on a Saturday early afternoon. There were a few customers when we arrived, the weather was horrible! We were happy to find them open. Dad had the roast turkey special, Mom had a burger (I think it was the big ten burger, can’t remember), and I had the blacksmith special. We all enjoyed our meals. The waitress was super sweet even though she seemed to be the only waitress on duty. I would eat here again if/ when in the area.

Stopped in while vehicle shopping, never been here before. I took the waitresses recommendation and went with the fried chicken biscuit and gravy. I couldn’t have been happier. The gravy stole the spotlight and went well with everything on the plate.
