I have been coming to Mitsuru well over 25 years. It was the first time I had gone since the pandemic started. My wife and I shared the spicy tuna sushi, had mackerel, and salmon dinner plates, delicious better than I remember. The service is great, and they are happy to provide off the menu items. Mitsuru provides great food at a fair price with good service. All of this is in a calm dining experience.

Was a cute little resturant I just got some sashimi wich was delicious and fresh! The lady that was at the front was so nice and I had asked for alittle eel sauce on the side and she gave me alot of extra sauce <3. She also told me where to get some red bean buns nearby! Thank you! The atmosphere was nice the people inside were friendly it was clean didn't see to much though as I did a take out order. Would recommend !

Diner Japanese edition. Super chill, solid menu, cheap prices. Stepping into this place was like going back in time. Don’t expect to be blown away by the food, it’s just solid. And beers are $4.50, how can you go wrong? The specials are seasonally relevant and top notch. This place has been around forever and has a dedicated clientele of long time residents.

We ordered an omelette, katsu domburi, and tempura udon. The food generally tasted inauthentic; for example, the domburi rice was not very sticky and the katsu was not crispy. Instead, it tasted quite dry. The tempura udon wasn’t very authentic, but the omelette tasted alright. I would not suggest this place if you are looking for an authentic Japanese restauraunt. However, the server was nice.

The food is ok, the service is a little slow and the place could be cleaner. The interior looks like it had stayed untouched since the 80s or 90s. There’s a paid parking lot next door. Otherwise, there are metered parkings on 1st Street.

Diner version of a sushi restaurant. We didn’t sit at the sushi bar, but rather in one of the booths. We got the Spicy Tuna roll, Yellowfin roll, Tuna roll, Salmon Skin Roll, and the Anago (Eel) Roll. The Anago was my favorite, but be careful as it has thin bones in it. Miso soup was decent, but the salad wasn’t my favorite — it was sour and vinegary. Atmosphere was kind of weird; not many people. Server was nice. Time to get our food was a bit long, but I think there was only one chef. Also got Ramune (kind of like Sprite) and Calpico (kind of smooth yogurt-like) drinks, the Calpico was better. Good place for cheaper sushi instead of waiting the nearby long lines for expensive sushi.

Not very good… the tempura was soggy, the ice in my drink had some kind of contaminant, the miso was okay, and the teriyaki beef was pretty flavorless. Probably won’t be back, no real redeeming qualities.

This is my personal quiet place when I need to concentrate. I’ve known the crew for so long they’re like family. Personal favorites of mine are the donburi(any of the rice bowls) if you want to be full and carb up. I’d recommend the okonomiyaki as well, very rich it feels like heaven if you can handle the calories and yet, why worry if it’s good. 😉
