Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Waitress was overly sharing about how she just started back again after being fired the first time and then still went on about that experience. Also, the way she handled another customer was very unprofessional and inappropriate.

I’ll never really understand why we are required to put any star ratings if there are none deserved. The last 3 visits have been ridiculous but this one tops the cake. We order take out and the employee says she is packing up the order. 5 minutes later nothing walk up to the counter where door dashers are picking up their orders and what do you know my order has been sitting there the whole time getting cold. I get it home my wife opens up her what should be PLAIN pancakes and sees this (see photo). Not completely sure what it is, but our first impression was coughed up blood. Even if it was strawberry juice it would have led her to having a nauseating allergic reaction. In any case we didn’t want to risk it in case it was blood. We will not be going to this location again. Multiple times before this we have been missing items and end up having to go back to get them, but at least we could eat it when we did.

HORRIBLE experience, first we arrived and waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged even. Then we were seated and it took another 10 minutes for someone to ask about our drinks. The waitress was rude and didnt smile not even once. We got our food and it was COLD, we had an appointment that we needed to get to so we ate what we could that wasn’t terrible. Meanwhile during this whole meal the condensation from the air vent above our table was leaking all over my friend and her baby. We told her and she basically acted like it was no big deal but did end up saying “sorry about that”. We never were asked if we needed refills on our drinks or anything. I was extremely unhappy with my experience today!!!!

Lots of open tables but had to wait 25 minutes for a table. Server took a while to greet table, took a while to get drinks, food, box, and check. Server didn’t write anything down and then when the food came out it was wrong. When they brought out the new food it was the wrong type of eggs. It took so long to get the second set we asked for a box. When we talked to the manager to let her know what had happened (after we paid, so we weren’t looking for a discount), the server was standing there rolling her eyes at everything.

I ordered the t-bone meal, and my steak was bad and had a smell to it. Told the waitress about and she brought me a different order, it took awhile but I got it. I’ll be willing to give it another try.

Unfortunately IHOP has gone downhill overall in most the Des Moines area. My family went out to eat here on 6/11 around 5 as an early snack/dinner time. There were 3 other tables with people besides us when we walked in. Almost all of them had food and such so I could assume they had been there a short while. There was only 1 waitress working who was great at what she did but the other employees were standing around just talking about laughing about while we were ready to place our order we had to ask one of them who replied “Ugh, ill get your waitress for you”. Kind of rude and disrespectful about it. How hard is it to say “No problem, give us a couple seconds” she promptly came out and took our order which then took about 45 minutes for us to get for 5 people and 2 children, I understand since it was a bit of a bigger order. I still don’t like how we were treated by the host/manager or whatever their job title was. The food was pretty basic as well, nothing to really write about at this point.
