This was our first time eating here and I was told it was very good, but we were not too impressed. We ordered a meat and 3 plus drinks, it was just over $26 for two people, not including a tip. The chicken had been refried so the meat was dry and tough with really Cold temp spots in it, from being in the fridge, while the outer crust was very hot. The fried squash was overcooked. However the collard greens, Mac n cheese, lime beans, rice and gravy was good.

Pleasantly surprised! My Mom and I stopped in on Saturday and we got the meat and three. We got a generous portion of chicken tenders and each of the sides we ordered. It was delicious!! We even had enough to take home.

Roadtripping to small towns, my sis and I were craving some Southern food and boy did Dog House Cafe oblige! We had a meat + two sides and a tea for around $10 each. As we waited on our food in the small, very clean, bustling diner, we were checking out everyone’s food. It all looked yummy and it was obviously a locals spot where everyone seemed to know each other.
