Low key and intimate with excellent service. We were greeted immediately upon walking in. It was a slow night but the staff attributed to the packer game. The room has a historical vibe with great woodwork at the bar and a high end traditional Wisconsin supper club feel. Food was good, fresh and straightforward with fairly traditional seasonings. Excellent choice for folks that want a traditional Wisconsin experience.

I think I might have found my new favorite place for fries. The truffle fries were out of this world. My wife and I shared a scallop entree and truffle fry appetizer after a day at RA. We hopped on yelp (can I say that here?), found this place, and gave it a try. We were very pleased. The interior is very rustic and cozy, and the staff was very friendly. For 2 drinks, appetizer, and entree, we thought the price was more than reasonable. We’re considering making the drive back for dinner, regardless of whats going on at RA.

Delicious food, very good service, and great atmosphere (pro tip: If you want a really quiet meal, try to go after Labor Day and before Memorial Day). This is an Elkhart Lake must-do for anyone who is more interested in food than drinking and partying.

Dinner and service were TOP NOTCH. The food was excellent. I had a filet and it melted in my mouth. The chocolate cake was heavenly. Quaint, cute, and comfortable is how I would describe this place.

Ww started with the Cheese Board and a shared wedge salad. Both were good, but unremarkable. We were disappointed with our entrees. I had the Chicken Piccata and my husband ordered the Pistachio Encrusted Walleye. The chicken dish was breaded, not just floured, lacking in sauce and I couldn’t taste lemon at all. The only capers in it had been fried. There were only a few and they had little flavor. The walleye breading was lacking in seasoning.

The Elkhart Inn recently reopened the upstair diningroom. The Elkhart Inn has undergone several management and kitchen changes in the last several years. The result of these changes was inconsistent service and food. Those issues seem to be behind this landmark Elkhart Lake, Wi, restauraunt. The new general manager Krynn, is a well-known restauranteur in Elkhart Lake. Her friendly and competent style is reflected in the great service her bar and wait staff provides. And the food – is excellent! I had the roasted red pepper pasta with chicken The ample portion was prepared to perfection and was served with a salad of fresh greens. My wife’s blackened salmon was equally as good. When my wife asked to substitute a potato for rice, this accomodation was made without a fuss. Although the wine list is limited, we found a delicious Cabernet Sauvigon to accompany our meal. We passed on dessert, but the selections looked delicious!! Our check came to about sixty dollars and included two cocktails, two entrees and a bottle of wine. For a fine dining experience, we felt this was a very good value. We would recommend the newly opened Elkhart Inn to anyone dining in the Elkhart Lake area.
