THE BEST Thai, the best Asian, maybe the best food period, that I’ve had so far in Maine. This is authentic, delicious, amazing Thai food. I will be back trying many more options, but you cannot go wrong with the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle).

Great please to catch up with old friends and it’s right but the river. Their food is UH-MAZ-ING. Staff is friendly and the cost isn’t bad. Crab rangoon could use a little more…rangoon ♀️

We used to really like this place. I haven’t been in a couple of years but our sushi dinner event this past weekend left a lot to be desired. The sushi was sub par (giant chunks of fish, unsavory looking fish, missing items). The service was nice but not appropriate (got appetizers after, couldn’t order extra, not available for more drinks). It was slow in there so it was hard to understand. And when we visited the restroom we had to walk through another restaurant-sized mess (and the bathroom floor was really sticky). We won’t return.

Great views of the Kennebeck River and really delicious, well-made sushi. I was very impressed with the staff of women who were working extremely hard and provided good customer service. My only constructive criticism is that they need to fix (or use) the kitchen hood, because the restaurant was too smoky from the kitchen.

Hard to rate this place as we did To Go… Food was good… Sushi dude remembered the order while the lady just took my money and gave me the bag… Sushi dude was quick to make sure she knew I had ordered it… Go sushi dude!!!

I cannot even begin to express how mad I am. We order from here often. The first time this happened, I let it go. The second time, I called and asked for a refund…..never got it. A third time they forgot my salad again!! We order from there a lot and I always check when I go (they forgot one time with me and I went back in) but usually its my partner and forgets to check. Either way, we should get what we pay for and that happens sometimes. They never correct it or try to be better. Good luck running your business that way

I have been going here as a staff member at a camp nearby for years, and I celebrated my birthday there this year. Their card machine wasn’t working and they first expected me and my boyfriend to go out to a bank (the closest one that was opened was 25 minutes away) to go get money to pay, when THEIR machine wasn’t working. In reality, if their machine isn’t working (mind you we were the only and last customers of the night), they should just comp the meal. I then left my phone number, name and contact information so that I could drop off money or have someone drop it off the next day. Although I did not feel that this was my responsibility, I sent one of the staff to pay. Since then, I have been back three separate times to eat there and no one has said anything to me nor called me, so I assumed everything was all set.

We tried this restaurant Saturday evening for the first time. It was not busy and we were sat immediately (party of 6). Service started out promising, but after our food arrived, we did not see the employee again for a LONG time. No drink refills or follow up, which is wild because we almost all got spicy food. We ended up being at the restaurant for over 2 hours, mostly waiting for someone to come back with our bills. There was a lot of confusion with bills (split 3 ways—3 couples). Our bill was $40, but we just saw our account was charged $93.

This place is Hallowell’s best-kept secret. Came here for dinner and was so impressed! They offer a huge menu; everything from the appetizers to the curry and noodle plates were all phenomenal, super flavorful and authentic. Affordable, too (2 apps, 2 entrees, and 4 drinks for under $70). Can’t wait to come back and try the sushi!

Multiple changes in ownership and issues with dishes since last review. We were disappointed with our last couple of experiences there. If you want good Thai food, go to red curry in Augusta. If you want good food near the cafe, go to lucky garden.
