A waitress at a coffee shop in Miramar Beach recommended Hunt’s so we made sure to check it out. She was right! The food was delicious. We had hoped to have oysters, however they were serving oysters from Virginia, where we lived, so we decided to pass since we were looking to try new flavors. (VA oysters are yummy!)

I will state, the only reason for a four is because we don’t normally visit seafood restaurants. However, we were visiting with family who loves seafood and this was an excellent choice for them, however the non-seafood selection was just okay. I do understand they are focused on their delicious seafood but for those that travel with those that don’t/can’t eat seafood, it would have been nice to enjoy a batter tasting meal. Now on to the food, per our family. It was sooooo tasty!!! Very delicious and sooooo good!!. My niece killed the lobster and mom and dad shared the Seafood Platter for lunch and it was more than enough. They loved it! I’m sure they would suggest a visit to anyone who loves seafood. For anyone with an allergy to seafood, that table right by the door, which we were seated, was perfect!!!

Delicious! Super packed and tight inside but well worth it. Employees shucking oysters at the bar and singing to the music was super cute! Our server was good and service was quick considering how busy they were. We arrived around 5 so were lucky to get in with very little wait. We ordered the gator bites, steamed shrimp, oysters Rockefeller, and a cup of the gumbo. All were delicious! Definitely recommend!

Hunt’s oyster bar I’ve been going to for over 30 years. I was at its original location. For the walls were covered and business cards dollar bills and little notes that go back so far into the past. When they moved to this new location it was a breath of fresh air. First off a larger space. So much better than what it was. Staffs able to move around you without bumping you. Even though they are busy most of the time. The oysters are always delicious. I suggest you get a dozen. Enjoy the experience. Very fun. The storms this last week had taken a toll on the building for sure. During the middle of our meal the roof released a cascade of water in the kitchen like a waterfall from the rooftop. Had been raining for over a week straight. Heavy downpours. Luckily nothing food related was splashed only a main section of the kitchen with they were using to move stuff. One cart got doused but that was about it. The staff is very quick to alleviate the problem. And make phone calls immediately to get the roof repaired. I’m sure it’ll be repaired within the week. It doesn’t matter honestly. The food is still delicious. And the staff is always friendly.

I was here a couple years ago and had the best blackened red snapper ever.

We were craving (like desperately) for fried fish, drove 20min to get there from where we were and it totally worth it! Oysters super fresh (try the premium oysters), and the fried fish: snapper and flounder just on point; very crispy outside but juicy inside. I highly recommend this place for

Great atmosphere and great food. Got the blackened grouper and fried shrimp, with cheese grits and fried okra. Everything was very tasty. The blackened grouper wasn’t overly spicy, and the shrimp were large shrimp – both had excellent flavor. Was my first time going, but I’ll definitely go again. Great experience all the way around.

I should preface this review with the fact that I have never had any oysters of any kind, ever.
