Decided to try Julie’s on Cinco de Mayo. We have made a couple attempts but something always came up. First they’re not open on Sundays, our main outing day. We were in the area last Tuesday afternoon but they were closed. We called today to make sure they were open and they were, so we headed there.

This will be my new favorite, authentic tasting, Mexican food. I left stuffed. The flavors were great. I had a chimichanga with red sauce and my wife had enchiladas. We were both impressed. We’ve not been impressed with the Mexican food around here but the place didn’t disappoint. The prices weren’t bad, and the ambiance was good. The employees were friendly too.

I’ve been wanting to try Juli’s Tacos for a while. Tonight I did and was not disappointed. I had the sopes. A dinner order is three. I was asked what kind of meat I wanted. The choices were chicken, pork, beef and chorizo. I asked if I could have three and they said sure. I chose the Chicken, pork and chorizo. They were all delicious. The sopes were formed perfectly with a slight crunch and a nice ridge around the edge to hold all the goodness in. As you can see from the picture I couldn’t wait to take a picture they smelled so good!

This is a must to try, especially if you like authentic Mexican food. The chicken quesadillas are amazing which is what my brother had, which I tried as well. I personally had the soft tacos (pork) “street tacos”, which were phenomenal. This place is reasonably priced and well worth the try. I’ve been deep into Mexico before ( way outside of cancun etc…) and this place is killing it. The tacos are a little smaller, but well worth it. We went back today. All I can say from this is try it and find out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. There is also a produce market next to it which is awesome as well!

I love that there is a produce market right next to the taco truck. There is a covered lanai with seating to enjoy your delicious meal. The tables are so cute and decorated for Valentine’s Day. The tacos are fire! They even customized their tacos for my vegetarian friend. Will be back for more amazing food.

So good. My husband and I used to travel to suitcase city or Plant City just to get a decent taco, but now we can go right up the street. The staff is friendly, atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Chiles Rellenos (sp?) is my all time favorite dish and has been hard to come by. Juli’s doesn’t always have them, but when they do, I can’t resist.
