First time trying this place Thursday, upon arriving we were told there was no wait but we’d be messaged when our table was ready. 15 minutes went by and I inquired about how much longer the wait was. Hostess said there’s no wait list but we ended up waiting 45 minutes and told me no people on the list means no wait. Very confusing. So we were seated finally, our waitress came over quickly and she was friendly and we placed our orders. We ordered Texas Twinkie’s, dirty brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese, and bacon pulled pork sandwich with hush puppies. The brisket was very fatty and I couldn’t eat half the meat due to that (took pic for reference), the Mac n cheese was over cooked and pasta was very mushy. The hush puppies had no flavor and were pasty, the pulled pork was a little dry, the coleslaw was alright, the sauces were not good. One tasted like mayonnaise, one like vinegar, one overly sweet with peppercorn chunks, and their ASH sauce was ok. And unfortunately no cornbread was offered at all. Our 2 meals and 2 appetizer came to $46. I understand they’re brand new and still trying to work out the kinks. I’m happy to see them open in the area and we will definitely try them again in a few months in hopes they’ve improved.

Ate here Friday after work, about 3:45pm, there was no wait, but this place is definitely popular and began to fill up quick. Food came out in good time and our servers were kind and attentive. Pricing was on point.

If I could give it a 4.5 I would but google doesn’t let you. Everything was good except some things had a little too much “smoke flavor” (which I think may have been from a little liquid smoke) and they need to get some wings and cornbread on the menu. Other than that, all of the sauces were delicious but they could probably do without the Alabama white. The hot link was easily my favorite main entree and the people I was with chose the creamed corn as the favorite side. Also, the price is ridiculous (in a good way) especially if you get the three meat option. When you get the three meat option, essentially it breaks down to $5 apiece for each of the 3 sides and $5 apiece for each meat. REALLY good price. Definitely the best food I’ve had out of the 3 mini trips I’ve taken to the Syracuse area.

I went to Angey Smokehouse with my dad for dinner on a Wednesday. We went a little before five, and it was already pretty packed. We got a seat at the bar, and that worked well. They have a good selection of a variety of locally brewed beers in New York. The people who worked at the bar were very friendly, and really seemed to care about how the experience was. We started with the Texas Twinkees, stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. They were good, but expensive, $14 for two. For the main course, I had the pick two, and got the ribs and pulled pork with Mac and cheese and fried okra. It came with a flight of BBQ sauces and a big bottle of the house sauce. The house sauce was good, and so was the thicker normal colored BBQ sauce in the flight. The meats were good, and the okra was in like the hush puppy batter, so it was thick. The Mac and cheese was definitely one of the best Mac and cheeses I have had out, so I would definitely recommend it. The food from the appetizer to the meats for the entre oddly seemed just warm when they arrived though. None of it was like hot and fresh. I know BBQ is slow cooked, but it still needed to come out at a higher temperature. That is my only complaint, but I would go back for sure!

Bartender/waiter was fun! Food came out quickly and was good. I recommend the pulled pork & ribs. Brisket was dry & overcooked and Mac & cheese needed more cheese Brussels sprouts were fantastic! Only disappointment was baked beans, over smoked and chemical taste. The homemade pickles/red onions were yum. And the “flight” of sauces to try was cool. Cute place with outdoor seating!

Absolutely LOVE the quality of the entire experience!! Brought a crowd of 7, and our server did a phenomenal job keeping up with us. Drinks were truly incredible! My only suggestion would be to sweeten the Bourbon Peach Tea or offer sweetener. Ours were strong, but I’m not complaining – it’s Bourbon! Ordered every app besides the bread, but I’m sure it’s as delectable as all else was. Excited to try out the Blues Brunch sometime! I would highly suggest this establishment to anyone that loves good BBQ and smoke!

We went over on a Friday right after they opened for lunch. The place was already pretty busy. The inside is nothing fancy, but nice, but who are we kidding…you want to know about the food. I had the brisket sandwich, with slaw. The brisket came on two simply grilled pieces of white bread, as you would expect for traditional BBQ. The brisket needed no additional sauces as it just melts in your mouth. I paired that with the Texas Twinkies, which you need to just experience. The description wont do it justice. Its a bacon wrapped jalapeno stuffed with cheeses and meats and it was amazing. I will be going back there again and again.

Awesome atmosphere, decor, staff, service and most importantly the BBQ. Get there early if you want a seat because the place filled up immediately. The food was phenomenal and came out extremely fast. Awesome menu that I will attempt to conquer by summer. My new go to.

BBQ DONE RIGHT! Excellent atmosphere, great service, and delicious barbecue! We tried Angry Smokehouse on a date night. We had to wait about an hour and a half but spent the time having drinks on the deck outside. The restaurant is small with limited seating, so the wait was expected. The service was great for how busy the staff was. The bartender and server (Bailey) were fantastic. The BBQ hit the spot. We will definitely be back. Nice to have a choice in bville – garlic or smokehouse.
