Came here for a nice dinner to end my honeymoon trip up New England and North 43 Bistro did not disappoint! The service was timely and our waiter Matt was excellent. I had the curry spiced halibut and my husband ordered the pork chop. We also split the cornbread with whipped butter appetizer. My husband is a chef and he said the food was some of the best he’d ever tasted. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking to have a nice date night out, go to North 43 Bistro! Thank you all for the wonderful dinner experience, we hope to be back soon!

Some proper mussels! What more could you want after a 30hr drive from New Orleans? Burger was amazing, the steak and cheese egg rolls were amazing, the fresh caught tuna was amazing (and I hate tuna), the views were amazing, the beer selection was amazing, our waiter from Long Island was amazing, the hostesses who seated 3 smelly guys who’ve been locked up in a car for 30 hrs with a dog were amazing.

Food and service were great except for the puny portions and an added surprise 4% “energy surcharge” to our bill. I asked them what that’s about and was told their electric bills have gone up to which I replied mine have, too. They also said it’s on the menu alerting customers but we didn’t read all of the fine print, apparently. They offered to take it off of our bill (I declined) but my issue is the portions are also small for the prices.

I recently hosted my wedding ceremony and reception at North 43 and it was absolutely PERFECT. Everything from the food, drinks, service and atmosphere was exactly what we envisioned for our special day. Stephanie and all the staff at North 43 went above and beyond and did far more than we expected to make our day what it was! Delicious and well presented meals (especially the steak which was very tender and had a wonderful smokey flavor) and friendly staff in a gorgeous location, with views of the marina, Casco Bay and Fort Gorges. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion or a treat.

We went for a Sunday night dinner on a rainy night with few patrons in the restaurant. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and main courses. Three of us ordered the $30 octopus entree. Drinks and appetizers were fine. When the server brought the octopus entrees, we were totally nonplussed and disappointed at the single, skinny tentacle, surrounded by a scant chick pea salad. These are $30 entrees and the dish served to us would not have even been sufficient as an appetizer. We looked at the entrees on the other few tables that were occupied and it seemed we made a poor choice. Rather than send it back, order and wait for another entree, we finished the octopus (within seconds) and called it a (bad) night. We had high hopes for North 43 that were dashed with the arrival of these paltry portions. We felt ripped off.
