We came to Mazatlan after a busy day playing in the sun with our kids. We were seated right away, drinks were fast and the staff were very friendly. My wife and I shared the molcajete, it was excellent! We’ll be back.

Mazatlan is a close second to its sister company Puerto Vallarta Jalisco in Cedar City. The chips are great coupled with their spicy salsa. Flavors are good and service is friendly and helpful. I’m a fan of their ribeye. Glad to have a place not too far away.

Overall it was good. Different than we expected but it had flavor (I feel like most Mexican restaurants around here lack flavor). The chips and salsa were good too. We ordered drinks, I got the strawberry margarita which I wasn’t a fan of but the food was good. The staff seem a little overwhelmed but it was a busy Friday night so that’s understandable.

We called initially and was told it would be a 30 min wait because of how busy they were, but when we went there, they had a table available and we were seated immediately. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed. We were greeted and welcomed by the owner when we walked in. He was very friendly and engaging with everyone in the restaurant. he stopped by our table 3-4 times to check on us and make sure we were good. We were given chips and salsa and our drink orders were placed and brought out pretty quick. We ordered the table side guac which our server made fresh right there. We ordered the ribeye which came with chicken flautas and chicken enchiladas in mole sauce, chicken and steak fajitas, and Mac n cheese for the kids. The food took a min which was understandable considering how busy they were.

This was my first time here and we were a group of four. We had the best service I think I have ever had at a restaurant. The food was authentic Mexican and it seemed to be a family business. I ordered the tilapia. The food was good and the presentation was awesome. We will definitely go back in future.

We had a horrible experience with the staff topped off with overpriced, over cooked garbage they are trying to pass off as food. One of the dishes we ordered was supposed to have shrimp, crab, octopus and muscles. It was 90% frozen Normandy vegetable mix 4 shrimp, 4 muscle shells but no meat and none of the other seafood that was supposed to be included . They tried to charge me for two $15 drinks when I only had one. When we asked to speak to the owner we were told to F-off and eat in Mazatlan. By the man in the photo below. We spent $80 for 2 dinners that were so horrible we couldn’t eat. I will never eat here again.
