Unfortunately we had higher hopes for this place being in business for so long. Food had absolutely no flavor, almost a watery taste. I had the orange chicken and it had no sauce, just plain fried chicken. Egg rolls and soup were the same. I do not recommend this place at all. Hopefully they will get the hint and change the way they prepare there food.

A friend and I just ordered from Jan Mee ll. As usual, the food was just delicious. Great place for take-out too. It’s always a pleasure. Thank you so much for doing such a great job, during trying times as well. Don’t forget to tip y’all

Easy online ordering, fast pick up. Delicious food! So thankful to have Jan Mee II open for take out during these stressful times! We are new to the area and they have definitely earned our repeat business.

Food is decent but not the best Chinese in the area. I live fairly close and the last time I ordered my orange chicken tasted like fish. They replaced it for free but it’s still something that could be avoided by cleaning the oil more often.

I honestly believe that Jan Mee II makes the best take-out Chinese food in the area. I’ve tried many places around, and this is by far the best tasting/quality food I have found. The sweet & sour soup is awesome. Also, very well priced!

Food can be hit or miss depending on who is working that night preparing the dishes. Found best to stick with appetizers for meal since those are difficult to ruin. Especially like their boneless spare ribs and steak teriyaki. Interior is very dated and looks unclean. Definitely do not want to eat in during cold days because the place is not heated. Staff can be seen wearing winter coats during those days. Prices are reasonable — especially the combination meals. Better Chinese restaurants can be found, but not in the town.

Love their food, freshly prepared with fresh ingredients yum yum. Very nice folks own and work here. They know us when we walk through the door, almost like walking into the kitchen of a friend’s home.

This was my first time ordering here. Got the house lo mein and crab rangoon. I will be ordering again. The rangoon was perfectly cooked and sweet, I like that. The lo mein had a lot of meat and vegetables to it. Most places give you more noodle and just a little extras. It had a hint of smokey flavor. Not sure if this is intentional but it’s probably from how they cook the meat and vegetables. Didn’t bother me, tasted like it was grilled in my back yard.Good stuff.

Disgusting! We ordered General Tso’s and paid extra to have the lo mein instead of rice. Not sure why that’s an up charge but whatever. The lo mein tasted like an ash tray. I mean for real. Like the noodles literally absorbed the smoke from the cigarettes of whomever prepared the food. The chicken was chewy and had a fishy aftertaste. At least I hope it was chicken. Regardless, we only got about 2 bites in and the rest ended up in the trash. It would have been easier to just throw the money straight into the trash, at least I would have saved on the cost of gas getting there to pick it up.

Well I have been in Maine now since November 1st 2015. I came from Indianapolis but was originally from the Los Angeles area. I have loathed the chinese food scene in Maine, until I found this wonderful gem. Amazing food. Love it.
