Literally EVERYTHING was amazing! My daughter and I went here today for the first time and we were not disappointed. We had the bacon wrapped jalapeños, lobster enchiladas, shrimp fajitas and churros for desert….it was all delicious! Juan was our waiter and he was great! Can’t wait to go back!

From the moment we walked in the vibes were good! Servers were welcoming, mocktails were delicious and the dishes were superb! Even had to make room for churros at the end. Juan O. was extremely helpful and patient. His suggestions were on point. Whenever you’re in the Santa Monica area you have to stop by Sol Agave!!! Five out five stars!!!!

We had a wonderful time at Sol Agave! The service was quick and friendly. The food was flavorful and had generous helpings with a good price. We stuck to the happy hour menu which was perfect. We sat in the indoor/outdoor patio area that provided lots of light. I will definitely be returning.

Sol Agave has amazing food and that being said I was a little disappointed with my order. The taquitos Al gusto (short rib) is the best thing on the menu. It’s big enough to actually be dinner. The sauce is incredible . The Chile Colorado was also good. It’s a common menu item and this one was the best we’ve had. The enchilada de meriscos however was a huge let down. It wasn’t that it wasn’t good…. It was. But there was zero crab in it. I opened it to check and it was all shrimp. I’m not sure if they forgot or thought I wouldn’t notice but, I sure did. If you’re gonna charge $28 for it… put the crab in. They also left off the sour cream. The service was ok. Someone tried to clear an appetizer plate from our table that we were still enjoying and when we asked for a tea, he nodded and walked away never to return. They also took our chips when the entree came and we were still eating those as well. I did feel a little rushed. This could easy be five stars if they had served my entree as advertised and let us finish our courses before trying to take them. I can recommend Sol Agave to anyone who likes Mexican food, just check your order. Our total was about $100.

I ordered the agave bowl with veggies and it was ok except that they put some awful aioli that tasted like mayonnaise with soybean oil. They offered to remake it and brought out the wrong dish, a salad, but they dumped cheap pre-made dressing that tasted like canola oil mixed with sweeteners. They then tried again the third time brought out a dish that was still different from what I ordered and also had pork or other meat dropped it in, while I had ordered a vegetarian dish. Afterwards all I could taste was cheap vegetable oil like I had just eaten a bag of Fritos. The base ingredients were pretty fresh but they ruined the food by dumping cheap and bad quality oils and dressings on them.
