I had the bbq ribs with the potatoes salad and Spanish rice. The ribs was tender and juicy. The sauce on the ribs was tasted good. I got a side of Mac and cheese . I definitely recommend getting the Mac and . The chicken wings was fresh and hot. Try the peach cobbler, strawberry cake and the candy yams. I will definitely recommend this black. Owned business to friends and family. This is a great location.

Everything was sooooo good. This was my first time here and I got the 2 pc catfish with 8 pc shrimp, Mac and cheese, candy yams and it came with cornbread. It was fresh and well seasoned. I got a picture of the food but the cornbread didn’t make the cut because I inhaled it lol. I live all the way in Philly, but I’ll definitely be back next time I’m over here. 10/10!!! Oh and the food didn’t make it out the parking lot

The service has improved since the last time I was here. The cashier actually look at me when she spoke to me. In the past, the cashiers were rude and uncaring as hell. This is an improvement! The hot version of the BBQ sauce is indeed hot. If you aren’t into spicy food, go for the mild sauce. The greens were too salty, but it probably was a bad batch. The mac and cheese was on point! Overall, the food was good and the service is getting better.

I ordered catering (mac and cheese, collard greens, BBQ chicken and catfish) for a party. Food was ok. I always love their mac and cheese. My only complaint is that their collard greens is salty and their BBQ sauce tastes weird. They might have added some other ingredient to the BBQ sauce because it was orange and it was kinda sweet. One of my party guest thought they mixed it with mustard. It was my first time ordering for a large party. I usually just order a plate or 2 and i usually go for their catfish, mac and cheese and yams. The BBQ sauce was a big turn off so that is definitely crossed off my list. Also, the person who took my order and my payment was nice and had someone bring the food to my car.

The other day for dinner I got Mama’s Southern Style BBQ II. I ordered their Oxtail platter w/ Double Collard Greens & a side of Baked Mac. I really did not want to like the Oxtails, but they were actually really really good. The Oxtails were extremely tender, had excellent flavor, and the gravy they were in was more on the Smothered Chicken gravy side. Their Collard Greens are phenomenal. Seasoned great and the amount they give you is awesome as well too. The baked Mac on the other hand, they def changed up their recipe over the years and for better, but the last few times I got them they were exceptional! Absolutely love Mama’s. It’s some exceptional SoCo food. If anyone is in the Vauxhall area, would highly recommend Mama’s if you’re looking for some excellent Southern Comfort food! Also try their Fried Chicken Platter. You really can not go wrong with Mama’s.

I’ve been here more than once but baaaaaaby yesterday the food was so tasty I had to leave a review! My husband and I had fried chicken,Ribs,Cat fish. The sides were yams,mac n cheese,collard greens and french fries. For dessert we had pineapple coconut cake. Everything was delicious !!!!!!! We bought enough so I wouldn’t have to cook the next day and thankfully I don’t. My husband to shame me into stop eating. Thankyou Mamas soulfood BBQ. It was very good .

This was some of the best soul food we had in a while. You would be happy with a vegetable plate. Best service and great food. The deserts were out of this world. And let me mention the sweet potato bread. Wow.
