We just moved to the area and this one of our first stops. The food is incredible for the price. You can tell that this is a mom-pop shop. Care and love are put into this food. A couple items were a bit salty for my taste but still ate every bite. Don’t be deterred by the front area… I know it looks like a grab and go… but there is outdoor seating in the back that was pleasant and quiet. They have a daily special that is VERY affordable. Service was fast and friendly. Anyone that complains that they are out of a dish needs to realize that they are actually doing the environment a favor and you know it’s fresh if they do a count on their food. Highly recommend this place. Also, we watched people NOT tip and it broke my heart. Tip these amazing employees… it’s a family run joint and I would hate to see a place like this leave the neighborhood. We will be regulars, no doubt.

The food is amazing. Fresh and full of flavor. We really enjoied the catfish plate and the curry goat they come with two side, we chose to turnip greens, mac and cheese and the cabbage. I took away 1 star because the atmosphere was less than desirable and the table wasnt clean.

I got the curry goat it was salty this time. However I so got two orders of extra meat. The portion was good and I felt I got my money’s worth. If you get the special with extra meat the meal should be put in the dinner box so you can get the amount of rice that goes with the special.

Really good cheap eats in Old Lou! Everything on my plate is packed with flavor, there is so much variety to the menu and it’s served in generous portions. The lady working the counter was super nice and my food was ready in just a few minutes. Highly recommend.

I came here by chance and I’m glad I did. I ordered curry goat with greens and Mac and cheese. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! Seasoned to perfection and the portions were spot on.

Literally the food tastes like LOVE! The mac and cheese taste like God himself came down and made it . The fish so juicy and flavorful, the ribs were tender and seasoned , the plantains and sweet potatoes were so good! Lastly the Carmel apple cake was beautifully presented! 10/10 ! If you want Jamaican food stop here bc it’s a must try !

This restaurant is advertised on Google and on their own restaurant door as opening at noon on Saturdays. We tried ordering online and calling several times beginning at noon and were unsuccessful, so we drove to the restaurant. By almost 12:30, no one had even shown up to the restaurant, much less begun prepping any food. Several other people were waiting outside the restaurant looking in the windows waiting for them to open. Unreliable.

Food is very tasty. I’ve tried the chicken wings (taste great), fried chicken (very good crispy fresh), oxtails (ok, not enough meat, kind of salty), fish ( ok but only came with one piece) and curry chicken (very good).

I went there to get Catfish and least to say I thought it was gonna be good but it was macaroni, greens, and the cornbread and Jamaican cabbage and the shrimp curry was awesome. The only thing was the fish was wayyy too salty I tasted nothing but high sodium very disappointed in the catfish.

The food is great, but the customer service here has always been inconsistent even at the prior location. Nobody ever picks up at the phone # listed. When you place orders the employees have little to no patience. Closing time isn’t always the same and they’re extremely rude when asked questions about it, like customers are supposed to be psychics.
