AMAZING service and the FOOD is excellent! I’ve seen this several times while making trips to Menards and finally decided to give it a try. I’m GLAD I stopped! I actually had to visit 3 times this past week and keep trying different things! All of the tacos are delicious and the salsa is really good as well. Price is great for the amount of food you get! Keep up the great work!

This food truck is located in the parking lot of Home Depot, in Lafayette. I drove up and parked, and upon approaching the truck, I was greeted to a VERY loud humming from the truck’ propane- powered generator. Some music would have been nice, to not only add a distraction from this very loud noise, but to add some ambiance to the atmosphere… That being said, I was quickly greeted by a friendly gentleman, and I proceeded to look at my options. Once I made my decision, I I was asked what type of meat I would like on my burrito. It was very hard to hear what he was saying over the hum of the generator, but he made a nice suggestion, and explained it fairly well. I went to pay, and despite “Cash Only” being written all over the truck, I attempted to pay w/ a card… ‍♂️ He then directed me to an ATM at the Family Express located near the spot the food truck was parked in. I then ran over there, and upon my return, was informed that my meal was already being prepared. I paid for my meal, left a tip, and was given a restaurant pager, to notify my when my food was ready, which was very convenient, as it was quite cold, and I could sit in my nearby car, while my meal was prepared. It wasn’t long before my pager went off, and I grabbed my meal, which was given to me in a tied off plastic bag w/ a Styrofoam box, a couple sauces, a napkin, and some plastic utensils in it. I then left the parking lot, and headed home to enjoy my meal. 3- Stars, because the truck was so loud, I could barely hear the staff, they only took cash, there was no outside seating, and the portions were not as great as similar establishments in the area comparatively.

First time having it today and I got 2 Chorizo tacos and 2 Lengua tacos as well as a Horchata. They FILL these tacos up. I’m so happy my wife and I finally went. Pricing is on par with quality and quality is phenomenal. These aren’t tote $1.50 tacos. Wonderful 10/10

I spent four years in San Diego, California. While I was there, I ate Mexican food many times a week. Some of the best Mexican food. It has been 5 years since then and those 5 years had much to recommend them but good Mexican food was not, in the large, among those things. Well, imagine my surprise as the first bite of a meal purchased at a Home Depot parking lot taco truck transported me back in time. Well done.

Went to the Tortas Food Truck for the first time to get lunch. For those of you who haven’t seen it, it’s in the parking lot of Home Depot on the west side. Sometimes it’s on the Home Depot side of the parking lot, sometimes it’s closer to O’Riley Autocrats. Regardless, it’s hard to miss as it’s a converted yellow school bus.
