Some of the best sushi we’ve ever had – it’s expensive (dinner for two with a bottle of wine was $360 including tip) but worth every penny! The oysters, octopus carpaccio and scallop nigiri were highlights of an utterly wonderful smorgasbord.

Simply excellent. I’m worried that these types of Japanese restaurants are fading. This place totally reminds me of what Nippon used to be in Toluca Lake. High level of craft is what you need when the dish only has two components. The best part, no kewpie with siracha anywhere 😉

Fantastic sushi in a small but obviously loved restaurant. I was lucky to squeeze in at the bar. Everyone else was a regular. I got a variety of sashimi and the quality was great.

YES YES YES!! Jinpachi is no question one of the best sushi spots in LA. it is unassuming and authentic; the owners are from japan and the fish is fresh and absolutely delicious. I was a regular at Jinpachi when they opened in 2007, then moved away… and after 15 years they are still absolutely top notch! Highly recommend the carpaccios (all of them) and also the spicy tuna crispy rice is a MUST. can’t wait to come back on my next trip to LA.
