Definitely for white/American palette. The larb is the blandest for any Thai restaurant. Where the fish sauce, the lime, the burst of flavor??? That was a miss. Also got the dancing chicken. There was no dancing on any level. Just sweet stir fry. Where’s the heat?? Where’s the spice??? I wouldn’t recommend to any one wanting something authentic. So many other authentic Thai in queens. THEY CANT COMPETE WITH HUG ESSAN.

I really like the atmosphere. The waiter was very nice and the service was very quick. I got chicken green curry and spicy basil fried rice. The curry does not come with rice which the menu clearly says, but I think is a bit of a shortchange for $12.95 curry. All that said, the food was very very good. I’ll definitely go back. The fresh ingredients make up for the lack of rice. The chicken was all white meat. It wasn’t as spicy as I’d have liked, but the after brought extra pepper to fire it up. The fried rice was excellent.

House of Thai is definitely pricier than most Thai restaurants I’ve been to, but it comes with the neighborhood. Their food was absolutely delicious and packed with authentic flavors! Their service was good; our waitress served our food quickly, remained attentive as it got busier, and made sure everything was okay.

What a gem! My wife and I had a delightful dinner here. The staff are kind and attentive. The food is beautifully presented and flavorful. I had the “Love bird in the golden” and it was a wonderful departure from my usual pad thai. I recommend this place for some great Thai food! And try to leave room for dessert!

We found live cockroach in our food. We ordered Basil -Sautéed onion, carrot, bamboo shoot, string bean, bell pepper with chicken and we found live cockroach walking in our food. They change the food and did not take money for that dish. We couldn’t eat after that…Disgusting! Never going back.
