Had been wanting to try this place for a while and it didn’t disappoint. Loved the Brunswick Stew, served really hot (as it should be). Excellent smoked chicken, cooked just right. Pork a little dry but good-tasting as well. Had squash with cheese for the first time ever at the suggestion of the waitress… very interesting. Friendly service, laid-back atmosphere with fun decor. Would definitely come back.

I have no words to describe how spectacular the food was, my 13 year old described the food as “out of this world”. The place is nice and clean with a great atmosphere. They have excellent prices and an extraordinary service. The owner came out to say hi to us told us the story of the restaurant, they have been in business since 1984 and keeping the same family tradition and recipes. Definitely a must go in this area!.

Delicious BBQ – tried the St. Louis ribs, baby back ribs, pulled pork and crab cakes. The server was lovely and very helpful in deciding what to order. 10/10 glad we decided to stop here. Best restaurant near Ellenton Outlet.

I was looming forward to a shrimp dinner after being gone 1 year. Staff has turned over since then, and one particular gal was put off when we asked to check our order since tables that ordered after us were getting their food. We also could not find our original waitress who took our order. The gal we flagged down checked and returned with an excuse that orders aren’t processed in the order received, and it depends on what you ordered. (BS)

BBQ at its finest!! Started off with the pork shank covered in hot BBQ sauce. Tasted incredible!! I got the pork with French fries and coleslaw. Really good. I opted for the Carolina version which has that touch of vinegar in it. I like sauce, so I added a little bit more to my plate, but a purist will love it the way it comes. Recommend for very good barbecue!!

We were at the outlets and looked for a local restaurant nearby. It was out first time visiting this restaurant. It was dinner time and restaurant was crowded. Many seemed to know each other and were locals, which I think is a good sign. After a short wait we were seated. My husband got BBQ and I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Our waitress, Dawn, was energetic, friendly and helpful. There was a glitch with my order but how Dawn handled it was fantastic. You could tell she truly cared about the customers but also the business and its reputation. She is a great ambassador for the restaurant. We went away satisfied and agreed we would return to the restaurant in the future.
