At our Brunswick, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I gave 2 stars on service only bc the cashier was nice. This place is not what it used to be. I don’t recommend it at all. They don’t keep the restaurant clean, and when the kitchen staff messes up, they act like it’s your fault.

So we ate a late lunch, this Captain D is really run down. No other customers around. Our server Carla was friendly and helpful. The cook (older lady, maybe management or lead) had our order up within 45 seconds, was going to give us old fries but Carla asked her if they were fresh fries, cook pulls them back and cooks us fresh fries. So I kinda lost my appetite by the time I sat down and looked around as you can see by my pictures. The windows are filthy, the trash cans are filthy, the hot sauce bottles are filthy. Management needs to clean up. The reason for 2 is for Carla being friendly. Oh and the Pepsi man would be bringing me a new machine up to pare, this one is breaking.

The broccoli and the rice were fine…but the catfish meal did not contain filets- they were small strips of catfish. And the fish also upset our stomachs because we were definitely on the toilet that evening
