Hidden along the tracks in the old Nebraska City train depot is a gem. Filled with history and fine food, Calabria engages all the senses. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular, but at least now there’s a get-a-way to take my wife on a date that we can both agree on.

Great find as we were traveling through the area. Situated in an old train station, the atmosphere and decor are very nice. Highly recommend the Olive oil, Garlic and Basil and Bread appetizer. Our food came fresh hot and delicious.

Not a good experience. First they forgot us for 25 minutes. The lady came to the table and said oh I’m sorry we forgot to tell the waitress you were here. Then we waited 20 more minutes for our food. I wouldn’t have had an issue with the waiting but it was also like 80 degrees in there and it was so hot people were using menus to fan themselves and I had a 3 year old that was hot and hungry. You would thought they would have have offered to take some off our bill for taking so long and knowing they forgot us but they did not.

This was actually our second time going. The first time was shortly after it opened so interesting to see how it compared. The decor is neat – it’s in an old building and they’ve made effort to keep that feeling with original floors and windows and such. Bathrooms off the entryway are single occupancy unisex. The waitress was attentive- our drink glasses were never empty- and didn’t try to upsell us anything. The food was good and in large portions. Neither I nor my friend could eat all of ours. There’s a bar, though we didn’t try it. Maybe next time. I’d also like to try the dessert someday, lol!

This place is really cute. It is located in an old train depot and they have left up some of the signs from that. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is mediocre. It was edible. But that’s as much as I’ll give that. Don’t expect to go here and be blown away by the food, otherwise it’s a cute place for dinner.

This charming Italian restaurant is located in the old train depot. Because of that, the area of town may seem a little sketchy, but it is really worth the trip. The portions were ample and delicious. My husband and I shared chicken Marsala with artichokes and mushrooms on linguini. The sauce was perfectly made, and paired well with the linguini. The Bella Será salad contained a variety of lettuces, cheese, olives, and mushrooms. The house dressing is a gentle balsamic. The best part of the meal was hot, homemade rolled rolls, brought to your table as often as you like. The server was incredibly helpful and attentive, despite the restaurant being full.

Very friendly staff. Prompt service. Clean facility. If the did should be hot, it’s hot… cold, it’s cold. I had the Chicken Alfredo. Very flavorful, sauce not as thick as I’d like but great flavor non the less. Side salad very good. Good house dressing…I like to pair the house with ranch for an excellent creamy Italian.

The restaurant was busy, so the wait was not a concern. We ordered a large salad to share and twice received the wrong item. We had to ask for silverware multiple times. The dressing for the salad was a small amount in a bowl served with the statement this is the best I can do. The food was great, the atmosphere great, but service needs improvement.

Loved this place. The train depot feel made the kids and this big kid intrigued. The food did not disappoint either. Food showed up hot and well presented. Baked ziti and chicken Alfredo was delicious. Sadly did not have any room to try desert. The only downside we came across is the bathrooms could use a baby changing station. We will be coming back to this delightful hole in the wall the next time we’re passing through.
