Giving Paula’s a rare 5-star rating for truly being ‘best in class’ – ! What they do to that chicken to make it SO unbelievably light and crispy is (I’m sure) a well-kept secret, but it must be tasted fresh to be believed. I have also never expected to like anybody’s greens but my Moms’ recipe but their turnip greens were just right: not too sweet, sour OR salty! They were tender, smoky and soulful. Try Paula’s – it’s worth the detour and worth the wait!

We passed this place going to Savannah and let me tell you they did not disappoint. I’m so glad we stopped and took a chance. As soon as we walked in it felt like home. The people were nice , polite and made you feel like family. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Came specifically for the chitlins… Will 1000% not be going back! Idk how to express how flavorless they were… disappointed is the nicest way I could put it. ESPECIALLY when I was all tuned up for them. The only reason it isn’t 1 star is b/c we enjoyed the sweet potato pie.
