Our family was traveling through. We made a phone call from a distance away so we could order our food to go on our road trip. I asked to hear what’s on the menu and the lady who answered the phone was very rude. She rattled off like three things from the menu. I asked if that was all. She said “No, I just don’t have time to go through the menu right now.” I made a phone call to the Hitchin Post down the street. They were happy to read off their entire menu, and whip us up a meal no hesitation! Poor customer service at JD’s and I’ve never even stepped a foot in the restaurant, and probably never will if we are in the Hoxie area again.

We had their HOT BEEF SANDWICH!!! They were very good. Plus the people there were VERY HELPFUL in our time of need. Our family member had just passed and we were from out of town. Terry and his wife were most accommodating for us.

The meat on the buffet was cold. All but 4 or 5 tables were not cleaned off. It was the worse meal time we have ever had there.

As you walk in the door you are immediately greeted with a musty and foul odor. I ordered a glass of water to start with and it had a strong chemical/metallic taste to it. I hoped to dismiss the taste of the water by ordering a soda to drink, which unfortunately was flat and tasted overwhelmingly sweet. I ordered a philly cheesesteak sandwich and the meat quality seemed to be chewy and similar to beef jerky. Chips were slightly moist and stale. The bathroom seemed to be neglected and the hand soap seemed to be empty for an extended period of time. Our Waitress did not once ask how the food was or even acknowledge us untill it was time to pay. Overall physical cleanliness seemed to be okay.
