My dad and my dads side of the family are from Osceola Mills, Philipsburg. I however live and was born in York, Pennsylvania. After all the years of visiting my dads family this was my first time ever going to the American Diner and let me tell you there was no disappointment at all!!! The food,hospitality, service and even the quaint small town atmosphere was at its highest. It is definitely in mine and my families opinion a perfect go to if you want great home cooked food without doing it yourself. Can’t wait to go back and visit and have a great meal with my family. Whether your passing through or live in the area don’t miss out on this place!!

Place was packed for dinner with older locals decked out for Memorial Day Weekend (The Greatest Generation). Roast beef special was tasty with gravy and green beans. Met Dave the owner. Wait staff was helpful.

Breakfast was expensive for what you got. My wife’s pancakes were rubbery and tough. No actual breakfast meals you have to build your own and it’s $4.29 for a side of bacon
