We went when it first opened. So I expected the food to taste a little better since it wasn’t busy. The bunker hill was massive as it states, but the flavor just wasn’t there and the pastrami was hard to bite through. My dad ordered the open face roast beef. He liked it, but all the fries came drenched in gravy so he wasn’t able to really enjoy them. The apple pie was way too doughy, barely any apple in it with no flavor. Very bland. I suggest serving it with ice cream, the whipped cream was just off putting and didn’t compliment the dish at all. After reading all the reviews, I expected better food. I gave it a 3 star for the food. But the atmosphere and service was great and very friendly.

I really wanted to give this place a 5 star. We have always had amazing service and more than half of the meals I’ve eaten here have been great. I especially love their Reuben! But the last time we went, my wife’s open faced roast beef sandwich was just not good. This is sad because that is her favorite meal here.

The food was delicious! I had the shrimp and grits, which were exactly the way I love them, and my husband had the ribs that were cooked perfectly. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

Great flavor, quality, prices and portions. The rustic atmosphere of this restaurant is so inviting, they have mason jar cups and twine tied silverware. Almost all decor is a vintage style combination of steel and wood. By the way, they have a Chicken and Gravy Pizza. I’m just saying. Check them out!

Service was good. Restaurant is very nice. We had a party of 4. Fried chicken was burnt and dry. Shrimp & Grits were bland and fishy. Salmon was ok. Wedge salad shouldn’t be on the menu if they are having problems getting lettuce. We spent $250 last night and no one enjoyed their dinner. We won’t be back.
