This was our first time eating here. We had eggs florentine, it was delicious. Also scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, toast and hash, also a plate full and delicious. Shannon, our waitress, was great. Friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly. They also have a case when you walk in with homemade bakery items. We bought lemon turnovers…yummy! We will be going back for either lunch or dinner. The restaurant is nice and clean. Tables and very comfortable chairs are nicely spaced apart. A great meal for a great price.

A little snow didn’t stop us from the first trip of 2023! We, from the Auburn Senior Community Center headed north to Augusta, where a mystery lunch brought us to some pretty amazing food at Countryside Diner. Terri, our server was the best (how could she not be, she’s originally from NJ). If you find yourself in the area, you won’t be disappointed. 14 people, left full, happy and with bags if desserts!

I wanted to try this new place where Rebecca’s used to be. We had lunch there and it was pretty underwhelming and disappointing. I got a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was pretty good but the french fries were a soggy mess. They tasted like they had been made earlier and then reheated in a microwave. They gave me a huge portion of them, but they were so dark and soggy I couldn’t enjoy them at all. I see from previous reviews lots of folks have said the same thing. Guess the owners don’t read the reviews or care enough to remedy this.

Prices were fair except the bloody Mary that was way too expensive. Service was not good due to new waitress. Breads are great and fresh. Coffee was great and fresh, too. All baked goods fresh and generous!

This is our 4th or 5th time. We’ve been happy with the food overall, with a few minor things. The fries tend to be on the soft side which my wife likes, but me and the kids don’t, so I don’t get them.

I don’t know if there was a new cook or not but the food wasn’t great. I had a warm taco salad, with melted cheese on warm lettuce. Not great. My friend got a very tough brisket. He had to get a steak knife to cut it. My sister got the pot roast, which was good.

Have had several meals here and never better than ok. Last visit was served crab cakes that were burnt and never should have left the kitchen. Don’t know if trouble getting help? But the salad was excellent. Service has always been very good. Really wanted to like this place. As others have said wish there were more choices that are not fried.
