This is a nice place for good Italian food. I can only speak for the chicken Marsala and it was delicious! It have a completely different flavor profile for how I make it as home and I was pleasantly surprised! The other dishes were also highly rated by my family. The inside is very cozy and has some charm to it. The prices are a little on the higher end so it’s the type of place that I will bring my family to on special occasions. I got their pepperoni calzone to go and they do it right. About 17$ will get you a calzone that you could split into 2 meals. They put ricotta cheese in it (the way it should be) and the side of sauce was more than enough. I can’t wait to try out some of their other dishes.

This is a simple charming small restaurant. I arrived with no reservations and there was a long line, but apparently a short wait. The parking lot was full, but there was a sign on the building to park at the next door bank parking lot. I was offered the bar, so I saved time and sat at the bar.

Family owned establishment offers huge pasta portions. It doesn’t taste like hand made pasta but I’m not mad at all because the prices are quite fair for the huge portions (double sized pasta portion!!!). The service was quite slow but polite and atmosphere was homey.

Sadly, this place is in decline. It’s rated best in Lompoc because there’s nowhere else to go. We hadn’t been in several years and we remembered it much nicer. We arrived at 5 with a reservation, the place but empty except for 2 other tables already eating. Our waitress, who I believe is a family member, gave us drinks but then disappeared. I had to find her after 45 minutes for water and to take our order. Other tables around us were eating before us but had other servers. She offered no apologies for disappearing and then seemed to suggest we weren’t ready to order earlier. The food was mediocre at best. I didn’t eat my salad. It barely had dressing and was old lettuce. I told her it was not good. No reply from her. The main course was ok but not worth a $27 price tag. I’ve had better food at Olive Garden. We were prepared for a nice dinner with a 89 year old dear friend and it was disappointing.

OMGosh! Both La Botte in Lompoc and La Botte Bistro in Buellton will blow you away! First of all the customer service truly gives its patrons an intimate and very special experience. The warm and friendly owners and their awesome staff will take care of you from the minute you walk through their door, until the time you leave. The Bruschetta is by far the best my husband and I have ever had. Our pasta dishes were superb. Followed by a delicious dessert. I would like to give these restaurants a deserving 100 stars if I could. If you are ever in the Lompoc and or Buellton area, La Botte and La Botte Bistro are the places to go for the best Italian food!!! xoxo

The restaurant itself had a good atmosphere, décor, etc. but when we first entered, there was a terrible sewage-like smell. When the hostess was done talking on the phone for over 3 minutes, we were seated. After ordering our drinks, the beer ordered that was supposedly “draft” was bottled. The lemonade also tasted watered down. When done placing our orders, we were given “salad” with just lettuce and thin slivers of carrot along with store bought croutons and a store bought vinaigrette. When our dishes arrived, they looked decent but after tasting them, we were disappointed. The veal marsala was terrible, the marsala sauce was overly sweet and in no way tasted savory. The mushrooms were also cooked whole and were not cut. The veal itself was 3 very thin cutlets that were most likely previously frozen. The pasta that came with the dish was very obviously store-bought and not fresh. The other dish we got, the chicken parmesan, was previously frozen and somehow burned at the same time. The dish did not have parmesan and instead had mozzarella. I was extremely disappointed as each dish was around 40$+ for store bought ingredients and poorly cooked meat.

They were just closing. Thankfully they took our order anyway. Went to pick up and it was pretty busy in there. The customer service was top notch. Very friendly. Got back with the pizzas, typical thin crust Italian style pizza. It was, ok. Again, they were very nice. I’ll have to try the lasagna.
