The meat filling is made of ground, spiced pork meat, and the outer masa layer is made of ground corn. The tamales are so good that eating just one will prove to be quite a challenge.

So my husband went to get two dozen pork tamales from here. When we got home the tamale fell apart. So we opened a second one. It crumbled. Not enough masa in it to hold the meat. So we returned them for a refund but the woman said that since the owner wasn’t there, we couldn’t get our money returned to the card till Monday. She also said we could get another two dozen that just came out of the oven. So we wound up getting more tamales. They did let me sample one from the batch first before I took it , because you know, tamales are freaking expensive to buy. Went home started to eat them but here is the problem, if you go light on the MASA then the whole tales falls apart. We couldn’t even pick them up with our hands,we had to scoop them with a fork. Clearly some one is being CHEAP! You can’t go cheap on masa. That’s what makes the whole tamale! Anyway, very disappointed in the product. Don’t know if I’ll be back…..

Delicious Tamales disappoint us, because one day went to Sonterra location and they were out of almost everything, well we said let’s call them and pick up our order tomorrow that way they’ll have it ready at Nacogdoches location so we got a Dozen of sweet and another of spicy tomatillo chicken and cheese, I liked the spicy chicken, they were spicy but they are so small and had to eat 8 of them.

It was absolutely the most disgusting tamales I ever had. I bought over 4 dozen for a small family gathering and was very disappointed. I bought a variety and not one did we enjoy. They we’re tasteless with poor wrapping.

Staff was rude. I understand they are tired from the holiday rush but one way to lose customers is to treat them like they’re an inconvenience. And it wasn’t just me that they were treating rudely. Other customers in there, including elderly, were treated like they were bothering them. These better be the best tamales we’ve ever had because it wasn’t worth the way I was treated as a paying customer that had an order to pick up. I didn’t even get a “Thank You”, “Happy Holidays”, “Merry Christmas”. Instead she asked for a signature that I picked them up, she turned around, and walked away. Hope they have a great Christmas!

We’ve been getting tamales from here for several years and will continue to every Christmas. They live up to their name with delicious food. Their service is always timely and friendly. I highly recommend ordering ahead online at Christmas time.

These tamales were the worst I’ve ever tasted. Disgusting. The masa was so unmixed so bits of powder exploded in my mouth the meat had white chunks of fat. I fed them to some feral cats outside. I wished Dalia’s had been open.
