I ordered 2 chili and onion hot dogs and a regular size wedding soup with a vanilla shake. The only thing they got right was the vanilla shake and they gave me someone else’s order…super disappointed. It can’t be that hard to give 3 correct items but obviously it is and checking customer orders before you hand it is too much work.

Not good at all. I couldn’t even eat the fries with cheese because the cheese had an odd, almost sweet, taste. I have never left cheese fries uneaten in my life, but these I did. Hot dog was lousy.

Excellent tasting food. Service was professional and quick. Lovely atmosphere. The chili cheese onion hot dogs were on point. Cheese fries were delicious. I prefer just cheese on the fries because the chili can overpower the cheese.

Fast food prices, but food quality that at least matches that of most pizza joints and smaller restaurants in the area. Their burgers are fantastic and the toppings they use rival In-N-Out Burger’s in freshness. Their hotdogs are great but their chili cheese dogs are even better. Make sure you grab a milkshake when you visit, too. I prefer chocolate but apparently peanut butter is legendary. I’ve gone 33 years in the Pittsburgh area ignorant to Hot Dog Shoppe but now I’ve seen the light and I’ve been making up for lost time by eating it three times a week
