I visited their new location and the atmosphere was very pleasant and inviting. Our server (Timmy) was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the honey pepper chicken bites, oxtails, curry chicken and Jamaican beef patties, along with a cocktail and passion fruit punch for drinks. For starters, please be advised that the food is delicious and made fresh for each order, but it is very spicy so if you love spice, this is definitely the place for you! Also, please be patient because as previously stated, the food is made fresh for each order so it takes time to prepare but everything comes out fresh and piping hot!! The drinks were also really tasty. Everything was reasonably priced And the entrees had really nice portions. Overall, good food, good service and good vibes!

This was a great carribean place off of Nicholson. Kind of on the expensive side but we’ll worth it. I had jerk shrimp and my lady had jerk pork and it was soo good. The sauce went well with a side of coconut rice. The shrimp were cooked butifly. The atmosphere was different from the outside look. I assumed it would be a bit higher scale until I went inside and was greater by the staff. It looks more like a casual venue with great omage to the carribian and the fishing. Overall a great spot for a bite to eat from the islands!

The food is GOOD. This can not be denied. However, the service is questionable. I had an amazing time on a Saturday evening but not so much on a Sunday Morning. I expressed my discontent with the waffles that are candied, hard and just not your typical waffle. I tasted them and set them aside. When speaking with management, he said I’m sorry and brushed me off. It’s $3.. was it worth this review? Probably not. No way I should’ve had to pay for something I didn’t enjoy. I’ll be back on a Saturday Night, I guess. I had a new waitress that was clearly new, SUPER SWEET but she had to ask the manager about everything which was exhausting. Again, the food is good.

A great vibe with Amazing food and will definitely make the trip to go again! Salmon was one of the best cooked pieces of fish I’ve had in a long time and just melts in your mouth and paired right with the coconut Jasmin rice.

Great tasting food! I ordered the jerk shrimp with sweet potato soufflé. We shared the pork nachos. I would say I would have liked a little more veggies with the shrimp. The owner Jasmine and our waitress were both very nice.

Went for brunch on a weekend at 11am. Put in a drink order for a Bloody Mary. A while later the server came back and said they were out of Bloody Mary mix (at start of brunch service????), which I’m not sure why we waited so long to get that message. Then we ordered food and my girlfriend ordered the veggie burger. A while went by and then our server came out and said they were out of the veggie burger. Which, my girlfriend is vegan, and that was the only vegan item on the brunch menu that particular day, and was the whole reason we came there in the first place, because their menus are usually pretty vegan friendly. So we had to ask the server to see if they could prepare something special for her. She got some plate of veggies and did not care for it. The one thing I will say is the food and drinks, when they do provide them are good and tasty usually. But they are killing themselves with horrible service, confusion, etc… kitchen should have had the menu adjusted or let servers know to tell us what they were out of on the front end. Won’t be going back.

Balance Higher Knowledge
Okay I have been eating great food throughout the weekend being from out of town. My sister in law introduced me to this spot thinking it was just another good restaurant. I was in for a surprise. It surpassed all of the restaurants I have been to thus far in Baton Rouge. It has a Caribbean and Cajun fusion which makes everything flavorful. The food is so good I went back twice during my 3 day visit. I found my new spot when I am in town. Everything I had was beyond amazing.

Wow! That’s is the best word to describe the food! Everything we ordered was amazing! Our server was not the best, I mean she was nice but we sat down and asked for the cocktail menu after waiting for 20 minutes we went to the front and asked for some. She never check back to see if we needed something else after we got our food, that’s why I give an overall of 4 stars.

We waited 1 1/2 to be seated, after being told it was a 15min wait….once we got seated the waiter passed us up 3 times then came to us and said she was checking out another table & just disappeared. We got water but no cups to drink it… never got food after sitting about 25-30 mins….. I’m disappointed! We visited the other location all the time and this wasn’t a pleasant visit….we left and had to find someone else to eat at and it’s almost 9:00 so most restaurants are preparing to close….
