The Shanghai dumplings are very good. The fish in the fish fillets with green vegetables are soft and hot. The beef in the beef noodle soup has good flavors albeit a bit salty, and the stewed beef is well done. The amount of food is very decent and the selection on the menu are huge. We will definitely come back and try other dishes.

My family and I used to be regulars, but the owner changed and so did the staff. The new dishes are much more oily, less authentic, and smaller portions.

This is a traditional Shanghai restaurant. We were visiting San Francisco and my friend who lives in the area took us here for dinner.

Great Shanghai cuisine! Delicious. But service is so so.

This place is super busy on the weekends, even with reservation prepare to wait. And the AC inside did not work well so it was muggy with a lot of people. And since there are so many people, it was so loud that you have to shout to be heard, plus the service was bad (but that’s nothing new for Chinese restaurants).

Good genuine un-Americanized Shanghainese food. All the common dishes you find in Shanghai can be ordered here. The clientele is mostly Chinese but the menu has English and pictures for those not familiar with the food. The service is fast and no-nonsense.

My family has been here a few times and we’re pretty pretty picky about our Chinese food. Their steamed pork buns (生煎包)is one of the best items on the menu and where my family likes to eat this. Their spicy fish (水煮魚) was really decent and not too spicy if you want some spice in your meal over rice. I would give them a 4/5 star rating but was not a fan of the heavy amounts of fatty pork in the Vegetable-Meat rice (菜飯)and the fact they used chicken egg yolk instead of duck egg yolk (which is traditionally how it’s made) for their Egg Yolk Squash dish(鹹蛋絲瓜). They’re service is fairly fast though and there’s usually long lines at this place, so I’d recommend going early. Overall, would recommend for some authentic Shanghainese food!

This is one of my very favorite restaurants. I live about an hour away, but try to eat here whenever I’m in the area. The food is authentic, the menu is extensive, and with a very wide variety of tastes. One of my favorites is Volcano Fish, which is an inexpensive fish cooked in a hot, spice broth.

Food is tasty here. Can get hectic during busy hours but they’ll fix your order pleasantly if they get it wrong 🙂

I dined there with my friend near 6:30pm and ordered beef noodles. The noodle has weird taste and the waitress kept interrupting us by asking us to pay when we were eating and insisted must in cash. This process took us nearly 10 mins.. later, the chef came, and smoked a cigarette by our table! I was worrying if the ash would drop into our bowls the whole time before we left… would never visit this store anymore!
