We had heard there was a Peruvian restaurant nearby and jumped at the chance to go. It is a store front building with plenty of parking out front. We were a group of seven and were welcomed and accommodated with tables put together for our party. The waitress was friendly but it is rare I find a waitress with no writing pad that gets our order right. This was no exception. After taking our drink orders, it was quite a wait for our dinner orders to be taken. The chips helped get us through. When our meals came, it was another server who brought them, and he had the wrong orders. We had ordered beef fajitas and were brought chicken, the sides were wrong with the orders. They came back making a longer wait for our meals and us eating at different times. I am thinking because of the tourist flare of the area the portions are small in comparison with the price. $14 for the half chicken and the sides are served in mini sauce bowls. Four slices of plantain or ten fries. A little ridiculous. The chicken taste more smoked than freshly charcoal with a crispy skin and charcoal flavor. All in all the food tasted good, but after eating at Peruvian restaurants on the mainland with price to portion and quality, this one is okay. I would suggest they focus on a few dishes, making them great than such a vast selection of just meh.

The food is definitely made fresh here. The service is great and our waitress was very knowledgeable in all the dishes. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions about the menu. The fries tasted perfect and the seafood dish was amazing. However, the Peruvian food was either over salted like the fried rice or too bland like the chicken. Even the spice level that was supposed to be in the fish was non-existent. The passion fruit was really delicious! Parking is very limited. Portion of food are huge.

We were looking for food to eat quickly before we visited the aquarium, but we did not want fast food. This was the perfect fit! The staff were very nice in explaining the Peruvian foods. The food came out quick and was delicious. Definitely recommend stopping here! It is a hidden gem in the outerbanks and could be easily passed if you do not know where it is. We found it from Google maps on a whim. The portions are great too! You can order lunch and have enough for dinner at a reasonable price. They also have food for picky kiddos like chicken tenders. 10/10

Stopped in today since we’re in the area and I really loved the chicken! So July and flavorful! The tostones with the chicken are a match made in heaven. My fiancé got the beef tacos and he didn’t loveeee them but they got the job done. Service was really great and I would 100% recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area and in the mood for something flavorfulll.

Portions were enormous, but flavors were underwhelming. Was expecting more spice and flavor but most food was tame. Many dishes lacked description and it was difficult to understand how much you were going to get from an order (usually more than expected).

Food is delicious, and serving sizes for most dishes are big enough to feed 2 people. The chips and salsa taste just like how my mom makes em. I’ll definitely come around here for food

We’ve never tried Peruvian food before, and it definitely did not disappoint! We got the ceviche, jalea mixta, and mostrito, and it was perfect for 4 people and a toddler. Would highly recommend, everything was delicious with hearty portion sizes! Would love to come back next time we visit OBX 🙂
