Oh my goodness I can’t say enough great things about this place! I ordered the chalupa plate. The portion size was very generous, very filling, the food was delicious, and the I am still baffled at how reasonably priced it was! The service was great and I highly recommend this place!!

Actually, this place deserves 0 stars. Oh my goodness! We were supremely disappointed with the food at the buffet. What food was available had been there so long that it was dry and stuck to the pans. The buffet wasn’t being monitored nor were the pans being replenished. I didn’t understand why there were so many people eating there which seemed to be the After Church crowd at 10 AM. A waste of our time and money.

After working a midnight shift in Del Rio some authentic breakfast tacos sounded good. It was suggested by some coworkers to try El Patio. I went thru the drive thru and was greeted by a friendly waitress. I ordered the Machacado breakfast taco and a Guisado Bean and Cheese breakfast taco. They come on a plate wrapped in foil with a small cup of tomatillo salsa. The homemade tortilla was soft and tasted great unfortunately I was not a fan of the eggs they tasted fishy and were waaay overcooked. The bits of beef jerky and salsa couldn’t save this taco. The Guisado mixed with beans and cheese was just barely okay. Beans were too runny and the meat had too much fat. This place just didn’t work for me.

The food was not good at all, and it upset all of our stomachs. We won’t be returning on our next trip through Del Rio. I can say we may have swung by at a bad time. They’ve received several awards, so I can’t imagine it’s always like that. The staff was not personable at all, but we were very obviously tourists. This town may not be as open to tourists as the area we come from (Houston).

They have gone down to 1 star..ordered caldo de res charged 12 bucks ,they filled the cup with 5 pc potatoe n 1 pc meat . I dnt think they know caldo de res comes w res … this is potaoe soup..very disppointed..
