We have driven I-65 through Bowling Green many many times but have never ventured down to the actual city center of Bowling Green. This was a charming little restaurant right off the central square that was completely full of happy looking patrons. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I opted for a daily special of Jambalaya with shrimp and mussels (which I knew could be taking a risk if the restaurant isn’t good at sourcing fresh seafood in a landlocked state and or the chef is not skilled at cooking shellfish). I’m happy to report not only was the seafood fresh and delicious, it was expertly cooked in that all the mussels were plump and juicy with no fishy smell or taste and all the shells were scrubbed well, and the shrimp were cooked just through perfectly so that they were equally juicy and tender. My wife wanted something light and got the GT Salad with grilled chicken to ensure she had room to enjoy dessert at our next stop, Chaney’s Dairy. The appetizer of fried pickles and jalapenos was clearly fresh-made to order and was very tasty.

Excellent local BG dining! Great food and drinks. Casual atmosphere and friendly staff complement the experience at Gerard’s. Lunch menu is a lite but very good sampling of what you can get here. Dinner is best had with a reservation as this place is popular in the evenings, especially on the weekend. Really enjoyed dining here.

Chefs Choice BLT was simple in nature but tasted great. Pair with sweet potato fries and it was a hit.

A must go to place! Definitely make reservations before you go! My son’s took me out for my birthday dinner and they couldn’t have picked a better place. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was low keyed(but it is Thursday). Drinks were good and the food was perfect! I had the market priced Ribeye. Fresh cut, tender and cooked to perfection. My sons had the pulled pork with cole slaw and one of their burgers. They raved over how good each meal was. The spinach and artichoke dip was good and the chips that was served with it, crunchy, well seasoned and like Lays potato chips, you couldn’t eat just one!

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place while visiting Bowling Green for LS Fest, and I am so glad we did! It was in the cutest part of town, near the main square, and had a great vibe and atmosphere. Walkable to other bars/nightlife.The service was impeccable and the food was just as good. I had a special entree for the evening, chicken carbonara, and my bf had the GT Burger with sweet potato fries. We also got the spinach artichoke dip and it was one of the best spinach artichoke dips I have ever had. Everything was absolutely delicious! The sauce that came on the burger was so good, and their sweet potato fries were homemade. You can really tell that the chef is talented in his craft and thoughtful when creating the dishes. We also tried their old fashioned and it was top notch. Again, the service was amazing! We couldn’t have beaten it for how busy town was this weekend.

This was our first time going, but definitely won’t be our last! The entire experience was perfect! We didn’t wait long for a table, our server, Natalie was exceptionally efficient and friendly. The food was delicious, and beautiful. We enjoyed our time, our food, our drinks from the bar, the overall atmosphere was awesome!

My wife and I went here last night. We had the greatest experience sitting at the bar. The drinks were churned out like clockwork but each one looked amazing. The presentation of these drinks were pretty phenomenal. So much that my wife ordered a cocktail (she’s usually just a beer drinker) and LOVED IT. We left our phones in the car so we could be involved more with each other but I do wish we could have taken pictures! The food was great; best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. One of the best old fashions I’ve ever had also. 11/10 would recommend.
